Hi Annie,
Try and visit the festa at Mellieha. Their festa day is the 8th September so the celebrations will be on the days leading up to that date. This year they had stunning fireworks displays. The main activity is in front of the large Parish Church on the hilltop over looking Mellieha Bay, a beautiful sight "dressed up" with festa lights.

If you intend to go to Mellieha's festa then the day's leading up to the 8th Sept are always good as they usually put on plays and have bands performing in a carnival atmosphere.
