It's part of the Winter Sunshine Holidays group of companies, you should find lots about WSH here in this forum and elsewhere on the site.

yorkshire*rose,

Like David says, Find-Rooms are part of the Winter Sunshine Holidays group and I personally recommend WSH as have travelled with them many times before, only through the main Winter Sunshine Holidays website though.

I also recommend Alpharooms as well, but if it were me I'd just go with the cheapest. :)
No worries with either company in my opinion but some others in here might say otherwise regarding Alpharooms :S *Que robbyw's usual rant!* lol just kidding robbyw :)

yorkshire*rose, stick with http://www.wintersunshineholidays.com/, if only for their customer service, much more professional attitude.
They also give a discount off future bookings with them

They guarantee the lowest prices at Sol hotels.

Hope you get what you want.

Thanks everyone for your help i have checked the sol site Robbyw and i cannot get a room for the dates i want but can on the winter sunshine site that is why i was weary about booking it as i would of thought i would be able to get it direct with sol. I am hopefully going to book tomorrow but am trying to find a cheap way of getting from the airport to Benidorm i think i would be better just getting a taxi when i get off the plane if they are only 55 euros as these shuttle taxis are quoting £90 for the 3 of us. Hope this holiday doesnt turn into a disaster with all the time and effort i and everyone who has helped me have put into it.

Hi Yorkshire Rose, We used Viajes Alameda for our transfers and they worked out at about £80 return. They were waiting at the airport for us and took us direct to our apartment and picked us up from the apartment on aour return in plenty of time for the airport. The service was excelllent. We booked on-line.

Would not use Findrooms or Wintersunshineholidays again after a really bad experience. I booked a room for 3 adult males (typed in 3, requested 3 beds and gave names and ages when booking). Everything was accepted and paid for (no word from them re any problems). When we arrived in the resort we were given a room with 2 double beds. No alternative was offered so I contacted the agency helpline. They said that I should have read their terms and conditions in which 'requests' could not be guaranteed and that there wasnt a thing they could do about it. I dont really think this was a 'request' more of a 'necessity' I would have thought. They were unable to offer a roll up bed or even an extra sheet so that we could sleep seperately!! How good is that for customer services? I couldnt get a word in edgeways on the phone to the agency and when I tried to insist on speaking, they hung up!! Take my advice DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM.

We have used them twice this year, no problem at all, they were also the cheapest price I could find and will definately use them again.

Not trying to rock the boat for you holiday addict, but if separate beds were a "necessity" as you say, why didn't you confirm it with them in an email before you travelled or indeed before you placed your booking?

I'm also surprised that the hotel reception couldn't have sorted a camper for you whilst you were there, had they just run out or something?

I went on holiday with a group of lads a last year (stag weekend thing), there was 11 of us, we booked 3 triples and a twin (Alpharooms called them all Double/twin standards). I contacted Alpha prior to booking to make sure there would be 3 separate beds in the triples and two separate beds in the twin (I mean we're close, but not that close dammit... know what I mean hehe). They told me that they could request them, but that was all. The said the room type was double/twin so it could either be a double and a camper or it could be twins with a camper.

Like Jules29, I've used Winter Sunshine Holidays/Find Rooms many times now, and I've never had any problems with them. They are actually my preferred booking agent now.. I've had the occassional run in with them, but I couldn't at all fault them on the way they dealt with both situations, top notch.

Unfortunately addict, i think this may just be a case of live and learn...

1. Always read the terms, and 2. if your going away with your mates, try to confirm the rooming arrangements in writing before trvelling (whoever you book with, even if its direct with the hotel).

Hi Jazz,
I did exactly the same as you did about the room arrangements beforehand and was told that requests could not be guaranteed (see terms and conditions). I assumed (niavely) that a camper bed would be put in a twin room but not so, I was told by the hotel on arrival that this was not possible (space and fire regs). This could have happened to you on the stag holiday, you were just lucky. We paid extra for the extra bed, the price we paid was more than the price for a double. If you cant actually get confirmation or a guarantee of specific room requests in writing then how can you risk it and book without it? I certainly wont take that risk again.

Addict,

Are you sure it was a bed you paid extra for?

Doubles and twins are built primarily for 2 adults, so its more likely that you paid a supplement for the third adult (to cover his meals not for a separate bed).

Jazz,
Very expensive breakfast if this was the case! So what's the answer? Dont book with them if you want anything more complicated than a double room? I'd be interested to know. The ironic thing was, it was only £10 more to book direct with the hotel who would have guaranteed a 3 bedded room. If I hadnt been so tight fisted it wouldnt have happened. I guess same old story, you get what you pay for.

What's the answer... in my personal opinion?

It really doesn't matter which agent you book with as it sounds like they are all the same. When I travelled with Alpharooms I received no preferential room arrangements and I had 11 other travellers.

Bottom line, if something is important to you "like the bedding situation" then get it in writing before you book. If you can't get it in writing, then don't book with that agent. To be honest, in your example I'm afraid to say I think you would be extremely lucky to get any accommodation agent to guarantee you your bedding arrangements in writing. They would be leaving themselves wide open to lawsuits and compensation claims if the hotel couldn't provide.

That said, if you feel like trusting the word of a hotel (in writing or not) that they guarantee you a room with 3 beds, then go for it. Should they not provide, I think your chances of getting any recompense would be very slim though.
