We are staying at th is hotel in September, if you look on trip advisior there is a review from someone there at the mo, so should be ok, hopefully!!
I think he's back now so hopefully he missed it. It said on trip advisor that the hotel is closed at the moment and guests moved to other hotels. We go on 3rd August. Anyone else going at that time???
Karen
I think that those of you going later in the year should be fine , it appears from another posting ithat the fire was on the top floor and to have been an electrical fault i suppose it will be smoke damaged. Beleive me the management at this hotel will have it up and running as soon as possible, The general manager is the son of the founder of the comert chain and he is hands on and arrives everyday by helicopter to oversee the running of this fantastic hotel We have never been to a more well run hotel that had so many staff all eager to make your holiday special, I have wrote a review on tripadvisor yesterday and will put it on here too.
Those of you have booked are in for a real treat and I cannot say enough good things about this hotel.
It is such a shame that this has happened because everything was being opened up for the summer season.
I am sure in the next day or so more imformation will appear and hopefully it will put your minds at ease.
Best wishes violet
Violet would you be the first to add a review of this hotel please to our review site?
regards violet
Many thanks Violet
Is there much outside the hotel (to see / do) within walking distance ?
What is the make up of nationalities ? (its just easier for my son to make friends if there are some Brits there).
Thanks,
Graham.
Not been yet , going in September, been past hotel tho and stayed at Titanic. Basically there is a shopping centre to the left of the hotel, otherwise it's just a strip of hotels, hotel does a bus into Antalya, worth a visit. The lara beach area is mainly german, russian, dutch etc, not many brits, our daughter 3, made friends with some russian girls, look forward to your review, when do you go?
Sorry forgot to say, looking at it for next year (2008) maybe. It looks very good. My son doesn't normally find it difficult to make friends but it is normally easier if their are a few Brits (he's nearly 15 now so getting harder to please).
Our son was 14 at easter and loved the delphin Place and we are going back August 2008, he was allowed in the Disco with us but made friends with 2 sisters and went with them. The animators were great with him and he loved to spend time with one from kenya who belongs to a tribe and our son loved to listen to how he lived back home. They organise things for teens like football and water polo etc and they will encourage him to join in. we went when it was off season and he was never bored.I know what you mean as it is difficult for them to make friends when they are older and do not go to kids clubs any more. Our son had his lap top with him and would go and use it in the lounge were he could get free connection and he was in his element. You can get it in the room at a charge but he played on games in the room. He loved to keep in touch with his friends at home. There is a bowling alley with 2 lanes and internet cafe with play stations to use at a charge, a cinema with an english film each day and a really large indoor pool.

Thanks violet, our daughter is 3 are children allowed in the a la carte's?
This will be the first year (08) that my 18 year old will not be with us. So my younger daughter was getting a bit worried, although she always makes friends.
Regards Violet
Anyone interested in this hotel should take a look at the many reviews on tripadvisor as there are only 2 on here mine included but hopefully more will appear on here as the season gets going!
It was not top secret!! just confirmation of our travel dates etc I have posted a full review of the hotel on the forum here, and answered questions when I have been able to.
On trip advisor I have had over 30 private messages sent to me regarding this hotel so I assume the posters did not want their questions aired and the answers to be for general viewing, but again I have answered a great many questions publically. I have also had a few pm sent to me on here on various subjects.
What is the private messaging for exactly ??
Regards Violet
