We originally booked an evening flight (9.45pm) from exeter direct to Dalaman, Exeter is our local airport, but we could've flown from Bristol considerably cheaper and not had to travel much further but we wanted the evening flight time as I will have my 18 month old daughter on my lap and I wanted her to sleep! In fact we paid £160 EACH extra for this flight in 'flight supplements'.
We then found out through this forum (not through first choice) that the flights had been made 11hours and 50 mins earlier and were changed from a direct exter-dalaman flight to exeter-cardiff-dalaman, so now we have a 4 hour night flight changed to a 6 hour indirect morning flight.
I had to contact First choice constantly (on a daily basis) about this as they refused to confirm this was true, prefering to through in other wild cards (flight cancelled, flight from bristol etc etc) before finally confirming with us 2 weeks ago that the above is correct. During my time contacting them I was treated in an absolutely unacceptbale manner by csr's, I work ina call centre so I know what is/isn't an acceptable way of speaking to customers.
I have tried complaining to First choice, firstly about our treatment from them, and secondly about paying £160 each for direct flights from Exeter, that are in fact not direct flights from exeter!!!
When I phone them, they tell me I have to write or email, when I email them they send automated responses 3 weeks later not related to my complaint, and when I send letters of complaint via recorded delivery they ignore them (6 weeks and counting).
Does anyone know how I can contact them and actually get a reply?
Am I entitled to some money back for an indirect flight?
I am not worried about the flight times now as it has dragged on so blimmin' long we have got over that -11 hours and 50 mins though very sneaky!.
