Ok it does work...... Anyway as you can now see this is the page from the First Choice "Summer 2010" brochure which has the same info as in the "Summer 2009" brochure........The main picture at the top is NOT the Grand Kaptan it is the Grand Uycal.....The room pictures are correct and so is are the pool images...It is just the hotel exterior that is wrong
Kind regards

These are pictures of the Grand Kaptan which are shown in the First Choice Turkey "Summer2010" brochure BUT NOT in the "summer 2009 0r 2010" brochures.
Considering I booked this holiday in June 2008 I would have thought First Choice would have had plenty of time to notice this mistake and rectify it

I do think that you have cause to complain regarding the kids club and entertainment not being provided as was advertised. Something like this would have affected the enjoyment of your holiday and this is the area which personally I would concentrate on. As the kids club was important to you and your child/children then the enjoyment of your holiday was affected and the holiday provided did not fit your requirements. First Choice IMO were wrong not to have informed you of this prior to departure. Under trades descriptions goods and services should 'be fit for purpose' and obviously the holiday you got wasn't fit for your purpose due to not being as advertised.
Although the photograph of the exterior shows next doors hotel it does show the swimming pool of the Gran Kaptan. The hotel shown is as you see it in real life, not of an hotel nowhere near the Gran Kaptan. Would the exterior of the hotel been a deciding factor in you choosing this holiday and did it affect your enjoyment?
I don't know why you or your partner would have been in the wrong had you said anything to children who were clearly breaking the rules in the swimming pool. My husband and I have spoken to children in the past who have been acting badly and simply asked them to stop whatever it is they are doing as it is dangerous to others and the rules say that you shouldn't do it. o.k. you face the possibility of being told to F off or worse however normally the children stop when questioned. We say something to them as we are amazed at how badly behaved some children are and their parents couldn't care less, also that adults just turn a blinded eye to them so they continue and affect the enjoyment of others.
Good Luck with your dealings with First Choice however from past experience as stated previously IMO they don't care about providing a good level of customer service and that is why they haven't had my business for 5 years.
Thanks for your comments......
My main complaint originaly was "no kids club, no entertainment and the slides only being open at certain times" and I agree with you that the hotel picture shown in the brochure did not effect the enjoyment of my holiday. However when I pointed this out to the rep (when complaining about the above), he became very argumentative and accused me of lying...This did cause me a great deal of distress to the point I ended up crying & that DID cause lack of enjoyment.
I still maintain that the correct pictures should be used and information should be consistant between ALL brochures and web content.
I also TOTALY AGREE with you, that we should have been able to have addressed the children that were causing the trouble by messing around on the slides etc. but due to the language barriers with some and the fact that we live in such a "PC" world, I was worried that these children would tell their parents that we were harrasing them and TBH I didn't really fancy the prospect of a day out to a turkish police station!!!!!

I have finally received a response from Thomson regarding my complaint and although they are not admitting they are at fault with their brochure accuracy they have sent me a voucher for £200 off my next holiday!!!
Now whilst I consider £200 to be more than reasonable I am not entirely sure if I am happy to accept a money off voucher as I am not sure if they would redeem the voucher against the holiday I have already booked with them for next summer (This holiday was booked before the one I am complaining about) If that is the case I would like to push for a cash alternative as the only purpose a voucher would serve would be for Thomson/First choice to guarantee I spend even more money with them.
Any oppinions on this matter would be gratefully appreciated.
Kind regards
