Hi
I found a great holiday on the first choice web site in the maldives for two weeks. I booked a beach bungerlow which said it had a sea view. I have now recieved a letter from first choice stating that the accomadation on the website was set up incorrectly and that we would have a limited sea view. What can I do as the group i am travelling with really wants a sea view to make the holiday speacial as we are celebrating a birthday whilst we are there. First choice have not offered an alternative or reduced the cost. Can they do this? what can I do?

It is possible that you could pursue them for compensation - but you will not get very far with it in the short time you have before the holiday.
My suggestion would be to WRITE - not email, and send recorded/signed for delivery to them reluctantly accepting the change, but reserve the right to seek redress should this impact upon your holiday enjoyment when you return.
When there take notes and pictures if it really does impact, but don't let it rule/spoil your holiday. Just go and enjoy yourself.

fwh what great advice, superbly put also, one last thing keep your letter short and to the point.
When do you travel?
I travel on 5th october 2009
You still have 3 months before you travel so you maybe you can persuade them to offer you a complete sea view alternative with no extra costs.
