Unlike the old system, you don't appear to get a later option whereby you could vary the room types and numbers as you progress through the quote and booking system now it has been revamped and modernised!
We naturally went elsewhere and got a better deal so the problem must be costing them money, unless enough people are blindly booking not realising they have a second choice in room make up.
Hi......have found another property that will only book 2 rooms for me on the website, however in the FC shop they book only one..(same room)......makes me very wary of booking on FC website
I would like to know if there is anyone who has flown with First Choice recently and could tell me the price of
L&B ciggies (1 carton and 2 cartons). Last time, I bought them at the airport but they were cheaper on the plane.
Thanks.
L & B 200 is £22.00 400 is £32.00
Thanks Angie - that was a speedy response! x
I have booked a holiday with First Choice to a Premier hotel which means you get to take 23k of baggage and seats together on the plane,we fly with Thomson and when tickets came it only said 20k luggage thomson said they wouldn't honour it so our local branch of FC where we booked the holiday has paid for an extra 5k for me, i'm now wondering will we get to sit together? has anyone else experienced this.Maggie
Here is a thread running at the moment about 'sitting together'
The airlines say that sitting together is not guaranteed, you can be parted by an aisle, or one behind each other.
That is why the airlines have brought in actually pre-booking exact seat rows and numbers.

Angie.
Maggie if I was you would phone and pay £10 return each and book your seats peace of mind.
Thanks for replys, but will take the chance, and argue if i have to, premier means sitting together as it states in the brochure. It's on just over 2hours flight so won't be too bad if we're not.
Hi Darren would you be able to tell me what films are showing on First choice flights to sharm we are flying on sunday 30th from gatwick thanks in advance for your reply
'Thomson Airways' and 'What Aircraft' topics in our Airlines & Airports forum for advice from the aviation experts about your flight.
David
Hi flash7650 ... this particular topic is intended for discussion about First Choice Holidays. First Choice no longer exists as an airline since the merger with Thomson. If it's Thomson you are flying with, you may like to check out the David
This is our third visit to this hotel just goes to show if you book early you dont always get a good deal, how can they mess around with price like this £410 differance between dearest and lowest thats a lot of cash.
Does anyone know when winter 2010 holidays go on sale? Thanks
We got the price from First Choice website, over £1200 more than last year once we had chucked the premier flights on (which we had last year) it went up again! Went on Thomas Cooks and found the exact holiday, flying same airport a day later for £900 cheaper than First Choice.
Rang First Choice to see if they could match it and then we would go with them and then pay the extra to upgrade. Turns out yes they would do it for that price but won't upgrade us as they were selling us the exact Thomas Cook holiday on the Thomas Cook plane! explained to them we love our First Choice flights, prepared to pay a bit extra for that - can't match the Thomas Cook price or even get anywhere near it and the excuse they used was because the hotel was so popular they had to charge more this year.
Now is it just me or does it seem First Choice are charging £900 for the exact hotel, surley it would benifit them to match or at least try to match Thomas Cook so we pay them for premier flights?
Rant over
I'm looking for a holiday for mid March at the moment - I was gobsmacked at the First Choice/Thomson prices this year! I presume they have reduced the choice so much that they feel they can screw the price upwards - don't think we can afford to go unless the prices collapse later on.
In the end we got a Thomas Cook holiday complete with extra luggage, sitting together etc., at a price much lower than TC or FC came up with.
Could be worth checking in case they can do anything for you.
Hi can anyone help me, I have booked a holiday on line with First Choice and on the website there is no facility to request a position of, or a certain room. They ask you to ring 0871 200 7799 at a cost of 10p per minute. Now you know how long you will be hanging on these lines. I have found an alternative number on SAYNOTO0870 but after ringing the said they could not amend a booking nor could the First Choice shops you have to ring the premium number what a rip off. Does anyone know another way around this. Thanks
Have you tried 0800 9754023? That should get you through to the right people. If not and you have to use the 0871 number, try calling at an off peak time if you can. I normally call at say 10am on a tuesday morning when the lines are normally quiet as most people are in work and it's after the weekend rush (ie, a lot wait until monday morning). The last time I called, I got through first time within seconds.
Darren
As a holiday advisor for first choice working in a travel shop we cant access any internet bookings , if you dont want to pay to stay on hold (I know its a pain) Your best bet would be to e-mail the hotel direct. Some hotels the reps dont normally have much of a say in room allocations.
What hotel are you staying at?
