I agree with Lyn, pay the extra and go for the Kirosiez and not the St George as I have read loads of reviews on Red Sea hotels, and tend to make a mental note of which ones get good/bad reports. I'm sure the Kirosiez's are noramlly better than St George.

Be careful though as the Kirosiez is the one that also has a seperate beach with beach bungalow accommodation which sounds nice, but is away from the main facilities. They seem to be a bit cheaper than the main hotel & might not be suitable for you with Ellie as she would be away from the main pools, resturants, bars etc.

I've noticed that some of the accommodation only people seem to offer the bungalows rather than the main hotel. Good Luck.

chris im so mad with myself not booking those flights when i saw them ive even rang the flight company to see if they can do anything but they cant have said they wont come down again how annoying, only got myself to blame. im now going to have a look at all other options and places as i have a budget im trying to stick too grrr

oh Karen .Is that £170 each or total . I have to say I admire your determination to stick to your budget . dont think I would have the willpower

yes £172 in total, ive got 4 holidays booked at the moment so this will be no 5 so thats why i have to try and stick to a budget lol, im going to look at feb half term flight prices too as thats a possibility failing that then i will have to look at other options

Whats a good flight site
I keep looking at doing hotel and flight seperate but it never seems to work out any cheaper or there are no flights available when I want them

no i only know the code for travelrepublic CARDSTUDENT , the best price i got was with ba 524 for the 3 of us but today its gone up to 696 grrr

I think you will get slightly better weather at the Feb half-term anyway. Jan sounds a bit cold to me especially if you want Ellie to use the pools.

Even at the end of April you had to leave the pool by 5pm ish as you are chasing the sun around it.

flight prices high for feb and easter too , ill keep looking and seeing if i can find a deal somewhere lol

I know its a package but they had a good deal on direct holidays for us for october half term at the Kirosiez . it was about £700 -£1000 cheaper for us than anything else decent I could find. Dont really have any intention of booking just like to fantasise

yes ive looked at airtours and that was a crazy price. i will book something only if the price is right, im looking at other destinations too but really fancied egypt grr, so not sure if to wait and see if there will be any last min deals or to find somewhere within my set budget, ive got to try and be good with so many other hols booked too oops lol just tried direct holidays it wont let me book jan going from my local aiport and will only let me book from gatwick for 2 wks so looks like theres a fault on their website

It was with direct holidays that I got the bargain price but I initially went on http://www.mytravel.com and it came up with 2 prices for the kirosiez . the accomodation looked the same but one price was with direct holidays and one with my travel but about £800 difference. i did look for jan/feb from birmingham but it was only showing up to oct on their booking calender and then from may 2008 so I sort of assumed that maybe direct holidays only operate in the summer season.

Just had a look on Jetline and their prices don't seem to bad!!!!!!!! They,ve got reasonably priced flights from Birmingham, going 3/1 or 6/1,
and the accomodation prices don't seem too bad!

the problem is ive already used up too many out of school hols so i darent risk more than say 1-2 days and thats taking me over tut tut so i would have to go no later than 2/1 thats why i havent looked at later dates

Anyone ever stayed at the Three corners in Taba

I really like the look of Taba as it looks so relaxing which is what we want as long as there is a great kids club and animation team.

I have looked for Coral resort and really strugling to find a room there
I keep getting st georges and oriental in Sharm

markandtracey .Cant comment on Taba but is it the three corners el wekala in taba heights , if so the reviews look pretty good or is this a new hotel ?? but if your after relaxing have you looked at the hilton coral in nuweiba which is not far from there .there is a thread running on it. i have booked there for next easter.

I have to be honest though the whole of the red sea including sharm is relaxing especially if you choose one of the A/Is along the coast . We stay in sharm but have only ever bothered with Naama bay once. It really isnt like any other european destination I have been to and unless you are staying in naama bay there is just desert outside of your hotel and you will have all you need behind those gates if that is what you require . also if a kids club /animation team is important to you I would definately stick to one of the more established hotels unless you find good reviews for one of the newer ones . i.e coral sea resort as you have mentioned, hilton sharks bay (my kids love it there), LTI grand azure, maybe tropicana grand oasis, corcorde el salem. you will probably find them a little more expensive though for that reason. actually Have a look at the reviews and prices for I think its called sunrise island view which is new next door to the hilton sharks bay and new last year. we met a few people staying there with children at easter and they said it was brilliant and you could certainly hear entertainment coming from there at easter.

trouble is with the red sea is your really spoilt for choice but i think with children you need to get it right if this is your main holiday . enjoy your research and donbt give up
