Weather is general;ly hot and very humid.

Candolim is more of quiet resort, calangute is more lively at night.

I agree with mrstella. It is very hot and very humid, make sure you have a hotel room with a/c. Im also going in April. From what you have said i think you should try calangute. Various bars and restaurants.
The beach is great, but if you fancy a change and want some peice and quiet then head further north to mandrem beach(think thats how its spelt) Have a browse through this forum and you'll find lots of ideas on trips etc.

Have a good time

Ive never been in april before, always been in jan/feb, but because of university this year i had to go i the easter break. I think it should be sunny, not overcast .To be honest i cant think of a time that it has been overcast in Goa, and i have been going for many years. You will definetly get a good tan. Make sure you keep hydrated with kingfisher beer

Will generally be sunny, however you are coming towards the start of the monsoon season so you may find you get the odd storm and the odd cloudy day.

It was hot and humid in April but you do get used to it.
Club Cubana is good night out and the nightlife in Baga is pretty lively for bars though the music is not ewhat we would class as recent!
