On my last trip to Goa a few months ago, i went for a quick dip as it was too hot, and i went flying off my feet.
Im a stronge swimmer, have been swimming in a team since i was 6, but i wouldnt go any further than knee high.
My little boy does go in, but i only allow him in to his ankles.
The swimming pool is the safest option.
Thanks for advise, what about Morjim Beach, read this is much nicer and calmer? Anywhere up there to stay on the beach front that isn't 5* prices? Clean, Air Con & Pool only requests. Thanks again for your help so far.
Hi, I personally would never have taken my children to Goa when they were that young. It is very hot and not safe for a young one to swim in the sea, Goa is not really set up for young children (don't forget Malaria tablets and injections!).
While I personally wouldn't take a 4 year old to Goa the Marquis Beach would be a great choice if you do decide to go. Have stayed there and know the owner and staff.
one of your queries was about a safe beach you will have read by now that the sea can be very rough and adults have drowned so you do need to watch the kids all the time but you would wherever you go so as long as they are paddling in shallow water with you it shouldnt be a problem
the beaches are wonderful lovely golden sand constant sunshine very child friendly staff in the shacks in fact everywhere
the flight is quite long for us never mind kids but if you think they will sleep etc.. fine
on the whole if you can cope with the flight and are careful in the sea and the injections and antimalaria meds all go ok
everything else will be wonderful its a fantastic place anita
