Hi,

my partner and I are looking to book a last minute holiday for the last week in september. I'm thinking of Crete mostly for the historical sites, but am put off by the thought of noisy resorts full of drunken people! It's just the two of us, we don't have any preference for type of accommodation but near a beach would be a bonus. We're looking for somewhere with a good beach to go snorkelling, in a fairly quiet place but with good places to eat - can anyone suggest somewhere please? This holiday is turning into a bit of a headache already so any suggestions gratefully received!
