Hello
Myself, husband and four friends are going to Turkey in September. 4 of us are in our 50s and 2 in their 60s. As one of our friends has walking difficulties we're looking for a flat resort and preferably a hotel without too many steps. Any recommendations please? Thanks and look forward to hearing from you.
Icmeler is pretty flat, unless you are staying right at the back of the resort. Just returned yesterday and there were lots of people with mobility problems, including quite a number in wheelchairs, who said they liked it because it is so flat and easy to get around.
Thanks blondiescot for your reply and I'll have a good look at Icmeler.
Bitez is completely flat. My parents went on holiday with their friends thre after one of them had a knee operation and he found it very easy to get round.
Main street & prom lined with restaurants, no hassle to go in bars etc.
I & my wife are going back in september for the 3rd year running, same
hotel for 3 weeks this time.
Normally we never go back to same resort, but we love it.
You can get the water taxi into Fethiye, a lovely ride on the canal, then
into the large bay of Fethiye, or get a dolmus.
Go to the fish market buy a fish or other seafood, then one of the restaurants
around the fishmarket will cook it for you, for a small fee & then you pay for
your drinks.
The prommenade is lined with restaurants, the first year we went,we tried
12 different restaurants, went to one twice. So we had 13 evening meals out
on a 14 day holiday,we had to miss one due to not getting in resort until
1am.
No such trouble this year, day flight's going & coming back.
