Hi Lynndan, not sure of hotels near Mumbai airport, but I guess the best internal carrier would be Jet Airways, I think they're Indias largest airline. They are probably the dearest tho! The last we used India Air, bit cramped, but otherwise ok. There are now several low cost airlines operating in India, Kingfisher and Spice Jet being a couple. I booked our internal flights via a travel agent in Delhi over the net as this worked out less than halve price on the cheapest cost I could get over here :!: Hope this is of some help :) Tony

Who are you flying with?

We have used Indian Airways, Jet Air & spicejet, our son has used Kingfisher.
Indian airways and Jet are ok, Kingfisher is good but spicejet is cheap, and for a 45 minute flight who cares if you get fed.
If your flight arrives in the morning 12am then there are plenty of flights to Goa in the afternoon.
We stayed at the Emerald in Mumbai, good standard & only 30 mins from airport.
We only stay on the way home as otherwise you need to leave very early in the morning to get to Mumbai for a 2pm flight.

Anyone seen any deals departing from either Manchester or Gatwick on the charter airlines, for Nov/Dec 2007 (3 weeks). I know its a liitle early, but I'm going to a wedding and need to arrive before 17th November.

Birdie, try MyTravel for direct charter flights. They only show upto 14 nights on the website but if you give them a call they can give you prices for 21 days (thanks again Elliebee).

We fly out from Gatwick on 15/12 for three weeks and the flights were £1300 for the two of us.

Thank you for your replies.
Tony we have tried the various airlines you suggested but with no joy, is it better to book the flight to Goa while stayig in Mumbai?
Sandyboy. we booked our flight with southall travel, they sorted out Austrian air, it's a 6.15am flight landing in Mumbai at 22.15 with a 2 hour stop over at Vienna, that suits me because being disabled it allows me time to go to the loo etc.
Samtheboater we have been in touch with Emerald today, we are now waiting for a price, can you remember the price you paid?
Once again thanks for your help, and anymore advice on Mumbai hotels would be great.

We paid about £60 including pick up at airport.
We had a room with bathroom, tv a/c etc. and there was also a sitting area with setee dining table and kitchen, shared between 3 or 4 rooms where you could sit or have room service.

Hi Danny, we booked our internal from here but used mytrip.com in Delhi. they have a live text format you use so you a quick response. They were very easy to deal with and by far the cheapest for internal flights down to Goa, Tony
