Help...the diving school which myself and Rob belong to are going to Malta on 22 May, flying from Birmingham..we are desperate to go..but we have found out (just) that Gav has an exam on 22 May at 1pm...the school informed me of this yesterday when i triple triple checked before we confirmed our places...the first 2 times i asked, they weren't sure.
Anyway, i was wondering if there are any flights to Malta where i me and the boy can fly just one way to catch up with the rest of the holiday party on 23 May as early in the morning as possible. I have scoured various flight sights and can't seem to find anything. Ideally, we would fly from Donny, but truthfully, i don't mind which airport as long as we can get there and join the rest of the holiday party without it being too expensive.
All help will be very gratefully recieved. He is feeling really down at having this exam sprung on him when the school had previously said it was ok to go on hols, especially as it is 2 days before they break up for half term and the time if his exam is literally when we should be checking in at the airport! We literally miss out by a couple of hours.
Thanks for any replies...
http://www.airmalta.com/homepage?l=1 they go from Gatwick for sure. Hope this helps you.
Hi Val, Air Malta do one way tickets, have a look at their website
BA fly from Gatwick - early morning flight approx. £75 each. Also from Manchester at approx. £70 each - also early morning.
Ryanair now go to malta they have a flight on the 23rd may from luton at 16.40 for £39.99 per adult
All airlines normally cancel the return flight if you do not use the outbound leg of the flight, you will need to ensure that this is covered with your travel company before booking etc else you may be stranded.
thanks to everyone who replied.. the problem is now solved. I rang the school several times and finally managed to talk to Gav's teacher and i explained the problem. He was very accomodating and helpful and Gav can sit the exam at a later date...so we can travel with the rest of the party now...but thanks once again everyone for your helpful advice.
