As mentioned in another posting, it appears that this airline are offering cheap flights to Malta, so it would be really good if people who have flown with them could give us the full lowdown on the airline, ie, prices, service, cleanliness, safety, meals, drinks, punctuality, in flight prices etc etc.
Dear HT Moderators, I would be very gratefull if you would not remove this posting to the Flights section of the forums as this airline is only flying to Malta and back so therefore this posting has most relevance here as it is only a Malta & Gozo issue, and I think we will get better feedback on here.
Many thanks and kind regards
Sliema2
I have flown with them and can say that they were punctual effecient had decent leg room and provided a good in flight meal. The aircraft is new and to my knowledge there is only one of them so if it developes a problem then I don't really know what the delay would be like!
Also you will probably be charged £29.00 p.p. extra than that advertised for their booking fee.
Regards
Sliema2
EDIT: Sliema ... regarding your request to leave the topic in this forum, not a problem if you think that it will attract a better response here. However, I have moved it to Flights & Airlines - and back again - just so that a shadow topic is left in that forum in the hope of perhaps picking up some more feedback from our airline experts.

Whatever it is, its still on top of their advertised rate !
a problem I found with their website is that you can only book on-line return flights of 7 days or less. However, you can book single tickets, so this could well be irrelevent ??
Hi David, thanks for that, I had thought about editing my Malta/Gozo forum posting slightly and copying it in to the flights section aswell anyway, but never got around to doing it, thanks for your help.
As i mentioned in the other forum (airline/flights etc) the company operate a MD90 aircraft on wet lease..which is from the Swiss Airline Hello. The airline called....BritishJet.com is a subsidiary of Maltese tour operator "Malta Bargains". They hope to operate up to 3 aircraft by peak summer.
Cheers Nivsy, but hoping to have back up aircraft and actually having back up aircraft are two different things, don't get me wrong I am not being critical of them, in fact I kind of admire what they are trying to achieve by taking on the always expensive Air Malta, I just think that if they are going to do it then they should of course have back up plans in case of the aircraft going technical or being delayed for whatever reasons, and it is this that I am trying to get to the bottom of.
Yeah i know what you mean....chances are they would be able to find an aircraft to operate when routine maintenance or technical fault arises...however like everything else that takes time. All i can say is i should think they are worth supporting especially for those people based down in Malta. Also remember, Easy Jet started some what 10 years ago with only 2 Boeing 7373's (aged ones at that) flying between Luton and Glasgow and Edinburgh. Look at them now with over 100 in operation/on order. From small things...big things come!!
just done some research for you all, in Gleneagles (for those who don't know, its the bar at the harbour in Gozo) - spoke to someone who used Britishjet to come to Malta on holiday - they were very impressed with every aspect of Britishjet - asked about "prices, service, cleanliness, safety, meals, drinks, punctuality, in flight prices etc etc. " all good (except meal was OK, but then thats about as good as it ever gets flying economy !).
Cheers for that Mark , it must of been hard for you though going to gleneagles bar and probably supping cold hopleaf or cisk all in the name of research , but the info is very usefull, I am now possibly thinking about using them for a long weekend next month, but of course more feedback will be gratefully received.
As I write, I'm being deafened by the fireworks from Fontana, about 1 mile from Sannat, where I live - Fontana might be only a small place on the edge of Victoria, but they make up for their size with noise ! Will be going to their street fireworks at midnight tonight
ps Sliema2, did you see the dreaded "You either love Malta or hate it"
issue rear its ugly head, yet again, on the "new dolmen" thread ?
Ciao Ghawdex Mark, oh what an awfull evening that must of been for you last night, cold beer, festa, Ghawdex, as you said it's a hard life, with regards to the pointless comment I don't care any more, if people really want to believe such garbage then let them if it puts them off visiting then it's there loss , just means more hopleaf, blue label and cisk for the likes of me and Mrs Sliema2, Trev, Dave, Plumbari, Graham, Ingliza, and your very good self
I have just returned from 2 weeks in Malta so I am again now depressed. Hope to get back over for a week in late July but that will depend on the costs of flights!
This time I flew with GB Airways(BA) £118.00 return. I will be returning in late August for around 15 days and up to now it will be with BritishJet who are coming out the cheapest at around £ 170.00
Sorry to bring it up but regarding the old "either love or hate Malta" theory, - could the answer be Beauty lies in the hands of the beer holders
Hi Ingliza M'hemmx Imn'hiex it was merely a stab in the dark about you liking beer , and you may well be right about beauty being in the eye of the beer holder we have all had times in our lives when we have had our beer goggles on .

I flew on Britishjet.com on their first week of operation. They were no worse than any charter airline I have flown with and considerably better than a lot. The aircraft is approx 8 years old, it had leather seats 5 abreast. It was on time both ways and the return flight I have to say was sensational. The German captain never shut up! he told us everywhere we flew over, he made a speech before we set off stood in the ailse of the aircraft and was a genuinely nice guy. Then again he works for Hello a Swiss airline, and not Malta Bargains who, it seems, couldn't care less. Now this airline says it is a low fares/no frills airline but we did get newspapers and a hot meal. Ok it wasn't haute cuisine, but after the palm court it was quite tasty. Most no frills airline hammer you with the in flight bar prices. BritishJet.com does not. they were more than reasonable. I understand the fleet will expand this year, and I for one wish the company every success. The flight surcharge of £29 is about the same as Easy Jet and Ryan Air who at the last look were over £20 each. You have absolutely nothing to worry about with this company.
Thanks Arcadia, that has just about sealed it for me, I think that we will deffinitely use them as a flight only option at some stage soon, thanks for your reply.
Hi all, can anyone who has used Britishjet please confirm to me what there punctuallity was like there and back and also the flight times.
Absolutely bang on to the minute. Only delay was getting the check in desks open at MAnchester and Malta and that is the fault of someone else not British Jet. Lack of info in the terminal as to which gate/check in desk it was likely to be as well, which isn't good for the stress levels. But BJ I cannot fault no matter how hard I try to think of a reason
