I cant seem to book a flight from this company. I am travelling from London Stansted to Malta, on the dates of 27th June and 11th July. I have tried several dates but nothing seems to work. I am getting really frustrated and don`t know what to do. Someone who could help? The message I am receiving is that "there are no flights matching your search criteria".
I checked some other destinations like Gatwick or Manchester and then I got an offer for a flight. Is there something wrong with Stansted? Stansted is my only option since my plane from Norway lands there..
looks like a bug - I'd send them an email
You think I will get an answer? Any experience with that?
I've had replies before, within 24hrs
try search the net for british jet phone number.. there is a freephone number on their maltabargains website 0800 091 4444 although i dont know if the 0800 freephone system works for norway.
Have you tried http://www.airmalta.com They fly from Standstead!

Yes, I have checked out Air Malta, but the only problem is that there is no flight to Oslo from Stansted after 20.00. Therefore, I would have to stay at the airport all night before catching a plane in the morning. I checked out British Jet`s departure and arrival times, and they fitted perfectly for my next flight.
The weird thing is that I was thinking of booking a flight direct from Oslo to Malta and back for approximately £200, but when I got back from my vacation they doubled the price. Me and my friends are only 17-18 years old, and have restricted economy so £400 was too much to pay;)
Anyways, sent Malta Bargains an e-mail conserning the problem.
Finally found tickets, £59 each way, total of £118. Do I have to pay any more taxes? On maltabargains it is said that extra fuel surcharge or something can vary between £0 and £49. Can this mean I`ll have to pay 49 more pounds? I am not big on being ripped off...
We called Maltabargains the other day to check on a flight price and from the price shown on the website there was £49pp added in supplements etc,so it actually nearly doubled the price shown on their website.
security surcharge £2.50
fuel surcharge £ 16
landing fees and govt tax
UK - tax £10
airport - £8
Malta - £1 odd
airport - £10 odd
other bits £3 odd
I think you will find that the prices advertised on BA.com are all inclusive of 'extra charges'
i.e price advertised on website for return journey departing London Gatwick 27/06/07 returning 11/07/07 £126.80.
Price you pay £126.80.
Price advertised on Maltabargains .com same dates from Standstead. £118.00.
Price you will pay is £118 +£49.00 + £10.00 Total = £177.00.
Both the taxes paid may well be comparable but one of these sites prefer to hide them!
however, its not that simple - if you book BA from Malta to UK, they do hide it the same as British Jet ! - same website, local rules
ps whats the extra £10 for British Jet, on top of the £49 ??
Maltabargains.com charge an extra £10.00p.p for durations over 7 days and £15 or £20.00p.p for durations over 15 days.
love to hear their justification for that....
Ended up with Air Malta. £133 all inclusive from Stansted to Malta. Only catch is that my plane to Oslo doesn`t leave before 8.00 am, while I am landing at Stansted at 8.35 pm. Does it take long from Stansted to the the center of London?
http://www.stanstedexpress.com/
train takes 45 minutes to Liverpool St
but if you need to be back at the airport by 6am, the train is no good
hotel my Mum has used a couple of times, and recommends (no, she doesn't own it !)

10mins from the airport
The final price of the London Stansted flight to Malta with Air Malta actually costed me 90GBP! This was for both ways. This was incredibly reasonable for Air Malta?
I booked a flight, after the favourable reviews on this sight. The inevitable has happenned. On 23 June 2007 flight FHE101 was grounded due to a technical fault on British Jet's only craft. The flight left 24 hours and 15 mintues later. This involved long frustrating waits at the airport. They overnighted us at the Palm Court Hotel (backpacker quality), after the originally nominated Venus Aparthotel ran out of rooms - despite the queing. When I asked for help with my bags, they sent me a jolly (bless him!) 6 year old boy, still awake at 2300H. I refused it politely and informed them this was exploitation. Communication was extremely poor. Against one's better judgement, we practically had to 'bully' hotel staff into giving us vital information. Even then, they knew very little. When the representatives turned up, they were very condescending. Although any sensible operator would have known this would happen one day, they lacked an adequate contingency plan. If you must book, do so only if you are prepared to put up with things like this. A day like this can write off a whole holiday.
