Anyone know why flyglobespan have stopped selling hols to Flamingo Oasis, Benidorm?? They were so much cheaper than Thomson.
Hi joolz .. it's perhaps just not available for the dates you are searching. I can see it showing for various dates in 2006 and 2007.

Flyglobespan to expand transatlantic services
Scottish web-based airline Flyglobespan is adding a series of transatlantic flights from UK airports in May.
It will launch a daily service from Liverpool to New York, using a two-class service - no-frills economy and premium economy.
From Glasgow, it is adding a daily Boston service (also two-class) and daily flights to Toronto.
It is also launching daily Toronto flights from Manchester and London Stansted and a weekly flight from Robin Hood Airport.
All Toronto flights will be operated with a three-class service - economy, economy premier service and business class.
A spokesman for the airline said more flights would be added next year but these would not be announced at this time.
Flyglobespan, a subsidiary of The Globespan Group, launched in April 2002 and is one of Britain's fastest growing airlines.

Hi, has anyone done the Glasgow / Orlando Sanford flight. Trying to find out a bit more about Economy and Premium Economy - I`ve read the website just wondered if you thought it was worth the extra money involved for the larger luggage allowance, meals and drinks. Is the seat pitch much bigger.
Also wondering if the seats are 2 3 2 or 2 4 2 (you can`t access that info till you book)
Any help much appreciated.

katiesmum,
They use a 3 class Boeing 767-300. All the information is on FlyGlobeSpans webiste, click here. Seat pitch in economy is 30", 34" in premium economy. Having flown many trans-atlantics with 30" pitch, the extra few inches is very welcome.
I'm toying with the idea of flying Manchester to Cape town next year in business. They don't offer the same standards of airlines like Virgin or BA, but they are good value.

I've just noticed that a booking to Orlando with Globespan that the 5th passenger is listed as MRS when it should be MR.
I,m almost 100% sure I did not make a mistake, but my e mail has Mrs instead of Mr.
Will this cost me £30 to change it, or will their customer service be kind and change it free of charge ? (Unlikely!!)

Hi There,
We had a similar problem last year when the conformation had mixed up the Master and the Miss (not sure if i had done this or them)i phoned the T/O and they said it was not a problem it would not cause any fuss at the airport, so to be on the safeside i phoned the airline direct and they changed it no charge.

Jotwenty,
thanks for the info, I'll call them tomorrow. Hopefully they'll be OK about it.
I'd rather spend the money on extra luggage allowance, cos i know we'll need it with 3 females in the party

Flew to Orlando in premium economy, was very impressed. The outbound flight was better than the incoming (nicer crew). Comfortable seats with plenty of leg room, especially if you can get the front row. Free drinks were served all through the flight, and the meals were as ordered.
There is a large screen at the front where they showed 2 films and some programmes. There aren't many rows of premium so its not too busy. They are in rows of 2-3-2.
Would definently use them again.

Update - Globespan charged me £20 to amend the "mistake" over the phone, it would have been £30 online (To amend a Mrs to a MR) 3 posts up
I'm still sure it wasn't my problem, but what cn you do but pay it....
I'll be printing every page from any bookings in future, just watch out for that 5th booking spot changing the title !!
That said - it wont put me off using them...........

Lucky you, Kathml. Flew with Globespan to Tenerife on 18th September. Flight supposed to leave Glasgow at 7.10. First it was delayed until 10.45, then until 11.45. We eventually got away after 12 noon. No complaints at all about the plane or flight, just a bit annoyed to have lost our first day of sunbathing
