We are flying with Globespan to Tenerife in 2 weeks. We know it's a no frills airline so therefore we will not have t.v. or radio. I had intended taking my personal stereo to listen to but with the restrictions on baggage, can anyone tell me if I would be allowed to have my p.s. in my handbag?
yes you can take your ps,mp3 , ds, and any other electricals device inc mobile but not turned on

I know that Fly Globespan allocate seats but can someone tell me when they do this? I am assuming it would be at check in but when reading through their terms and conditions it says something like they try to allocate seats to the seating plan but allocated seats may be changed nearer to departure? I'm not sure what they mean by this as i can't see anything on the website where we could choose our seats now?

Thanks Chico45, I hadn't even noticed that and don't suppose I ever would've as now that our booking is done I wouldn't have had any reason to go back looking over their site! I hav tried to book the seats but they aren't available for May 2007 yet, I rang them to check this and they said another couple of months before we can add seats, I did'nt realise there is a charge either and as there are 5 of us that means an extra £50 to add to our flight fares, nearly as much as the return fare has cost us each! If we didn't book seats what are the chances of 5 of us getting seats together? 2 adults, 3kids?

If you arrive at check in as soon as they open, you should have no problem getting seats altogether.

We use Globespan regularly and although there is just the two of us we are always asked where we would like to sit without pre- booking. As Pat42 says, if you are at check-in early enough you should be OK.

I was looking for a flight only to Turin from Scotland in Feb 2007 and noticed that Crystal ski holidays are flying from Edinburgh witha flight code of GSM. This is the code used by Globespan but yet their site does not have Turin as a destination. How can this be please?
may be they have charterd the flight out to christal making them sole agents
Do all of the Globespan flights not have movies on board? We travelled with them last year but can't remember!!!!!

No in flight entertainment nor cushions or blankets will be provide by FlyGlobespan! Take a good book for trip to CYPRUS.

I phoned Flyglobespan to confirm a holiday that I booked online (never done it before and wanted to check I'd done everything properly). I asked if I collected luggage labels from airport and was told they don't use they are not required, the electronic labels that are put on at check-in are suffice.
If you wanted label for name and address incase luggage went missing just need to buy.

A lot of people put their home address inside the case so that when opened it can be traced to the owner. Another alternative is to make your own label to attach to he handles or whatever.
I think you'll find that most of the lo cost carriers do not issue luggage labels now

Yes, have been putting same laminated home adddress + destination address's inside case for some time.
Got the old fashioned tie-on brown labels in Stationery Box today, so thats me sorted. Roll on Tuesday........
