pp recently returned from the siesta.not sure of market, but shop across road from hotel open till about 10.00.there is also 2 bars the titanic and a smaller one run by toni.we tried both and food v good.dont pay for half board at hotel as although breakfasts ok,evening meal was not the best.ie lukewarm, everything in somekind of sauce, mushy overcooked veg.chips ok tho.loads of bars/restraunts in san eulalia.enjoy.
hi mickb, can you elaborate a bit more about the club siesta, because we are going tomorrow, have you any tips about the hotel, resort etc. thanks
hi mo.the rooms in the hotel are ok.towels changed everyday if you leave on floor in bathroom.there is air con unit in room with own thermostat, but there must be central control for whole hotel as didnt work.the restraunt is very hot, unlike the food.best time we found to eat was when it opens at 6.00pm if you want hot food.salad was ok. water in pool very cold but start of season when we went 15th to 22nd may.quite chilly at night.late 70s early 80s daytime.we took our 3 year old boy.so didnt venture out to many nights.the entertainment was not to our taste but each to there own.dont know if you ever watched ibiza uncovered from a few years back, there was a lady rep called anita who was head of entertainment for a travel company well she was brought in for the week to sort it out so could be much improved, she was the one who said she could not be hypnotised and was to much amuesment.we did eat out at the titanic and the bar next to it and also had a balti in main resort all very nice.drinks in hotel more exspensive than out side but thats the norm. we have stayed at a sirensis hotel before in ibiza the seaview at port de torrent by san an bay.and if we go back it would be to there.hpe info is usefull and you have a great time.look out for keko. adios
big thanks for the review.i did watch ibiza uncovered, but cant remember anita, but im sure i would recognize her.we intend to eat out a lot anyway(lucky)we paid £800 less for this holiday than self catering last year,so even if we eat out a lot it will still work out cheaper.i saw the indian restaurant last year,so we might give it a try, thanks again mo
The underground market closes at 2pm Mon to Sat and closed Sunday.
The main supermarket is also closed on Sundays (Unless things have changed this year)
There is quite a good Spar opposite the Harbour Bar and another close to the two Chinese restaurants on the Paseo. The latter Spar is just up the road going towards the high street.
John.
If you are in Siesta, Pedros is open until ten or eleven each evening but is a little more expensive. There is also a supermarket next door to Samovar (opp Don Carlos) but that is so expensive that it makes a corner shop in Knightsbridge look cheap.
Thanks for that. Will walk to the syp on Sunday morning. Will look for a spot of breakfast nearby. Any suggestions or recomendations?
