Flights from Bristol are over £1000 ! Can you get to Gatwick or other London airports as they are about £150. Look on sky scanner Easy-jet and Aegean go to Kos in April
Have you thought about a ferry from Bodrum to Kos? I don't know how or when they run, but they do have an off-season timetable - somewhere.
Or get a flight to Rhodes and then the hydrofoil to Kos.
