Hi everyone
Thought I would post on the goa forum as its is a tinsy bit busy than the Indian forum!!!!!
Went to Goa two years ago and still have some unused currency... India rupees. Can these be used in Srilanka ..... Some Currency online exchange site state India rupees others sri lanka rupees.
Has anyone been to both countries and know the answer.

I've only ever used Sri Lankan rupees in Sri Lanka - don't think you can use Indian Rupees there.

It's a different country, so I would guess not. Bit like Australian & USA dollars. Or Matese pounds if they still have them.
I doubt it very much because you are not soposed to take rupee's out of india.
