Take a trip on the Dolmus to Gumusluk one evening and have a meal in one of the restaurants there, a must!
is that far ? and is it easy to do, have never been to turkey before
There are plenty of other lovely places to try on the peninsular, you really should explore some of them.
thanks bigphil, we will give that a try
I agree with Phil Gumusluk is a must, best meal of the holiday - we went in the day tho. Dolmus is from behind Migros.
If you don't want to walk into Turgutreis , 5 minutes walk from the ADR , past La Blanche and you come to the Anatolian - can't miss it - look out for the Camels!!Traditional dress for the waiters, raised platforms to eat and lovely food
Just before the Anatolian is a turn off to the "Our Garden" open fire pit and a nice atmosphere.
Enjoy!
Lally
thanks for that lally, will try them out
We have a house not too far from the Bay at Gumusluk.
If you want to eat some of the most wonderful food, see some fabulous scenery, watch the sunset, see the sunken city of Ancient Mindos (if you can snorkel) if you want to all this, then you HAVE to go to Gumusluk Bay ! !
We are very lucky because we are just TWO minutes from this delightful spot. Here is our complex at Gumsan, Gumusluk:-
Find MIGROS Supermarket, go out the back exit, walk straight across and you will come to the Dolmus Bus Station. Find a Bus with Gumusluk on it, it takes 15 mins approx maybe 20. Cost is about 5 Lira
Olya
will try to get to gumusluk , it looks lovely
And also try to get to Yalikavak, Torba, Yashi Beach and Gundogan, all well worth exploring and all easy to get to.
