Gozo Hotels(Update)

We are going to Malta in 3 weeks time and are looking into staying at Gozo for a couple of nights.Can anyone recommend a decent hotel.

What is the St Patricks Hotel in Xlendi like or the Grand Hotel Mgarr?

What is the local bus service like in Gozo,is it reliable or do we need to hire a car.

Any help would be great.

Well i have gone and booked the Grand Hotel in Gozo for 2 nights after reading good reviews on this hotel.
We have booked a superior room with a sea view so the views should be magnificent.

sorry not replying til now, but I was in the UK for a few days

1. Grand - excellent hotel, views are magnificent, and the rooms large
2. buses - its no longer peak season, so buses only good for harbour to Victoria - would definitely recommend hiring a car

anything else on Gozo, just ask

Hello Mark, Buses those gray with a red strip that makes them go faster buses, do they still have the old ones on Gozo or have they gone the same way as the big Island and got new ones.

We Stayed in the Grand during the summer. It was lovely. Good size swimming pool. Food Fantastic and the staff v friendly. I have no hesitation in recommending it.
