Hello. I am asking if anyone has ever used http://www.gozocreations website to book their farmhouse. I have had communication over the last week with seemingly lovely people at this website who have helped me choose the right farmhouse. However, now I am being requested to pay the deposit, by bank transfer, which is something i've neve done before. I feel nervous sending so much money to someone I don't know, not through a tourist board. Can anyone verify this company? If you have used them I would love some feedback. Also how do I do a foreign bank transfer, do I have to go into my bank.

I'm fairly sure they are OK, but
1. I live in Gozo and havn't heard of them (doesn't mean that much as there are loads of small companies like this)
2. they are only showing a mobile number on their website, and no address
3. bank transfer rather than cc ? if its not OK, I presume you will lose it !
4. last time someone signed their guest book was in 2003
apart from 3., none of the others worries me in isolation. Can you ask for their address, and I'll drive past to make sure they exist !

This is the address the person gave me in his email, i presume this is his own address. Did you mean the address of the farm house, cos I dont have that.

there are very good reasons for them wanting a bank transfer
if this isn't a ripoff - its cheaper for them in bank charges (but more expensive for you) and they are probably not declaring it to the tax man so no VAT or profits tax ! This is by far the most likely reason

After much deliberation we decided to not risk it. Instead we booked through http://www.myvillarenters.com and are much happier with everything. Have found a beatiful farmhouse and are looking forward to going next year. Funnily enough after I booked, the guy at gzozcreations said i couldn't have his property after all cos I wasn't quick enough with the deposit and someone else had booked it!!! Shame hey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
