I am after considered opinions from the members on here as to where is the best place for a holiday in Mid March
I have picked 3 hotels one on each of the above Islands - which do you suggest would be the best area for a couple in their 50s - not spring chickens but not ready for pipe and slippers just yet - who don't do beach sunbathing instead preferring to hire a car and get to the "non-touristy areas" but we do like a bit of warmth as well!!
Thanks in advance (you've never let me down yet!!)

If you dont stay in Mogan, there is Taurito just around the corner..
I like it because it is quieter there and very pretty with a sort of cosmopolitan feel about it..it is about 45 mins from the airport where you should be able to pick up a hire car to get yourself around..There is a lovely marina there and many little restaurants and bars with lovely views...and on a clear day you can see Mount Teide in Tenerife!
I have stayed in Gran Can in March and the weather was very hot..hotter than Lanzarote and Tenerife.
I would then say Tenerife would be hotter than Lanza but Tenerife would be my last choice to stay in..not because there is owt bad about it..its just not my cup of tea in places like PDLA and Los Cristianos..I too prefer going off the beaten track abit.
In Lanza, I would stay in Costa Teguise as it is pretty central to getting around everywhere if you are hiring a car to explore ( there is something round every corner in Lanza..even if it is just a deserted patch of rock with stunning views of the sea)
Happy Holidays wherever you end up.
As you've seen we've actually opted for Golf del Sur on Tenerife.
The other two options were Costa Taguise on Lanzarote or Maspalomas on Gran Canaria.
