Has anyone married at the grecian sands hotel, if so could you tell me a bit about it?
How long is the service? Are the vows the same as the uk? What is the Hotel like?
Thanks

I got married there in June this year through First Choice.
It was the best day ever, the Hotel is amazing, really nice and modern. Staff are friendly, its very clean, food is lovely.. could go on and on.
Wedding - we had a civil cermony on the sea view deck, it lasted about 10-15mins, they gave us a bit of paper with the vows on it.
We then had pics on the grounds, cut the cake and champagne toast in the bar which was lovley with nibbles, then we had the BBQ under the pavillion which was fab and everyone had a brill time (we had 45 guests) then we had a DJ in a room with a dance floor and bar which again was brill.
We were only saying the other day that we would love to do it all again. I wouldn't of changed a thing as it all went perfectly.
I would totally recommend this Hotel and First Choice.
If I can help you with anything else please ask..
Clare
The vows have been worrying me for ages, im glad you have it written down.
We are getting married in May next year ( Cant Wait ) I may have some more questions for you before then.
Thanks
Stacy
The Wed Co-Ord gave us them on a bit of paper when we had our first meeting with her so we could look at them. Then on the actual Wedding day you have them on a card type thing so you just read them off..

My only reservation about the seadeck is that it is quite close to the snack bar and pool and you can get a lot of people watching you get married. Luckily we were given a 4pm wedding so there were less people around, it was perfect.
There were only 14 of us so we chose not to have our main reception in the hotel. We were a little worried of it going flat after the meal so opted for something a little more traditional and lively and went to a restaurant in town with live cypriot music. We had an amazing evening.
The hotel are experts at weddings and I would highly recommend their organisation skills and their ability to make you feel special on your wedding day. If we did it all again I would not change a thing, it was a wonderful day.
We married at the chapel at Grecian Sands last month!
We stayed at Grecian Park though (along with our guests) and had a wonderful day. We had a yacht reception, then a meal back at GP so I cannot comment on Grecian Sands, but if I can offer help on any aspect of the chapel wedding, then just PM me and I will help if I can

Kath04,
Hi Cla
Hope you dont mind me asking - I am also thinking of this hotel for my wedding next year ...
WAs that an option you could have to stay in Grecian Park but get married in Grecian Sands ?
how long did you stay for ?
Is Grecian Sands the better of the 2 hotels to get married in ?
Where did you have yor meal ?
thanks
Ann
We flew out the 8th June, got married the 14th June and flew home on the 22nd June, so yeah would of been there, you may remember seeing me by the pool as I was 7 months pregnant??
How was your Wedding, isn't is a lovely hotel to get married in? and doesn't time fly by?!
Anne,
I personally stayed at the Sands, married there and had my reception there. A lady on here-Smiles, she got married at the Sands but stayed at the Park. I couldn't comment on the Park but have heard it to be very nice.
We stayed for 2 weeks but wish it was longer..
We had our reception under the Pavillion, a BBQ, we had 45 guests in total (the wedding was at 5pm, meal at 7.30pm) then after we booked a DJ through the Hotel and had a party in the Poisendon Suite which has it's own bar and dance floor and seating area..
The day was perfect! Then had a lovely Champayne brekkie the next morning. Only thing was couldn't drink as I was pregnant!!
Hope this is of help to you..

I am new here and we are getting married at Grecian Sands on the Seaview Deck in September next year and cant wait!
We have booked our wedding through Olympic but have only opted to have the photographs from them as we have decided to take our own flowers with us (artificial obviously but look very real), so that we know that we will have the style and colour that we want. Also that way I will be able to have the bouquet at our wedding party on our return.
We have decided to hold our reception at the hotel as they provide you with a wedding cake and bridal table decorations etc...
I havent read a bad review about Grecian Sands, so am very excited and feel that we have definately chosen the right place.
Its going to be great and we are staying for 3 weeks!!!! 2 with family and 1 without!
hi, i have also booked my wedding for next june in the Grecian sands. Im getting so excited about it now after reading so many good comments. Can anyone reccommend a photographer or should i just go with the one that olympic use as this is who i have booked through?
If you want an honest opinion, I'd go with the one that Olympic will arrange for you - why pay them to co-ordinate and organise your wedding and then do all the running round yourself. You just concentrate on having a fab holiday and let Olympic do all the work.
That was very helpful - both hotels look very nice in the brochures...sounds like either would be great
Do you know if they were expensive for drinks etc - only I am thinking of recommending the same hotel for some family guests and was a bit worried they might find it all a bit pricy ?
Ann
We have booked the Grecian Sands today with a side sea view room (supplement £50) each. Not that we want to spend a lot of time in our room but looking at the hotel most rooms seem to be sea-ward facing. Has anyone been allocated a side-sea view rooms and was it worth the extra?
To all of you who have stayed in the Grecian Sands can you tell me if they have updated their gym
I haven't stayed there since 1999 and it was fairly outdated then,
Has anybody used it lately or last season by any chance
As far as I am aware all of the new Gym and new indoor swimming pool will be finished now. We were there September last year and they were just putting the finishing touches to the indoor pool area so it should be well finished now. Going again this year same time in September, stayed there about 6 or seven times now.
Hi i booked the Grecian Sands for the 7th of April but was moved to the Grecian Bay.It looks like there adding more rooms to the end nearest to the road the building work looks all finished just no windows in the new rooms yet . colin
thanks guys
