Hi Maria Mac

There is absolutley loads of info on here......are you staying at Grecian Sands or one of the sister hotels? Are you organising things yourself or using a wedding co-ordinator?

We are at the Grecian Park and there is 11 of us, although we are marrying at the chapel at The Sands.......10 weeks today we will be there

I have been looking through the website and forums today and have gleaned loads of info.

Me and H2B and family are staying at the Grecian Sands Hotel and getting married on the deck. Saw some great photos of it and am really excited. We fly out 11 weeks today.

Had thought about a reception outwith hotel but thankds to all the info have decided on one in the hotel and will join in with the Hotels entertainement that night as it seems to be recommended by eveyone who has stayed there.

We originally booked the Grecian Park hotel as it looked lovely but we couldnt get married there so changed the hotel for one we could stay and marry in.

We have a wedding co-ordinator through Thomas Cook so will be able to arrange photographer, video flowers etc when we get there.

Hiya!

Just to let you know that I am getting married here on Thursday, we arrived last Wednesday. It is as fab as everyone says and we can't wait until Thursday. Should get time (between the sunbathing!!) to pop back on here through the week so if you have any Q's while I am here give me shout!

great to hear the hotel is living up to expectations. Hope you are all organised for Thursday and having a great holiday so far.

Did you go to the cypriot night in the hotel on Friday eve. Is it as good as peolpe say. I am getting married on Frid 2nd Sep and was hoping that it would be a good night after our meal as there is only a small number of us coming out.

Yes - the law changed just after we booked our wedding last May, First Choice informed us of the change, but we are staying with our chapel wedding

Hi Maria Mac. We are going to it next week for our candlelit dinner that the hotel throws in so I will let you know. We saw all the tables around the pool last Friday though and heard the singer and it looked lovely. You will have a great night I think :wink:

We get the 70/80's disco for our night - sounds interesting!!!! Watching the other weddings though the guests seem to have a great time whatever they do.

wedding hair

I got married at the Grecian Park hotel, Angeline did my hair and Hayley did my bridesmaids, both were excellent, definately recommended.

I had the BBQ under the Pavillion at the Grecian Park, the spread was really nice and definately more than you could eat.

Caterina who is based at the Grecian Bay hotel did my make up, i went to her for a trial first then she came to my hotel for the day, i had my nails done in england but broke 2 of them the day before my wedding Caterina arranged for the beautican to come and fix them but i can not remember her name, but she was good also.

have you all got photographers and someone to film your weddings yet? i would highly recommend who did mine, the end results were great.

Hi there Stace, my daughter Danielle is getting married next year at Nissi Beach and we are looking for info on photographers etc and also dvd recordings.Who did you book with?I have had one quote for the dvd of between 150-200 cypriot pounds, though not sure what this entails exactly.Any information would be appreciated.

Hi , im waiting on jill and steve to send me a copy of a dvd to have a look at but i think im going to go ahead and book them as no one seems to have had any problems with them. Stace, they said that you are a star for promoting them as i told them it was you who gave me their details.

You won't be disappointed, they are really good I put Stace on to them. Have a think while you are home about what music you would like on it You pick about 4 songs, We decided what to have when we got over there, but it's one less thing to worry about if you know what you want as you have alot of other things to think about.

Oh bless them, they are so sweet arent they jo. yeah i agree with Jo have a think of what songs you want before you go - i had about 6 and left it to them to choose what sounded good where.

yeah go ahead and book them - you wont regret it.

Yeah they're great, i wouldnt have any hesitation in booking them.
I wouldnt even get a sample copy, as it might spoil watching your own for the first time. I can imagine they follow the same format and it's nice to watch your own without comparing it to somebody elses and knowing what comes next. The grecian Sands let us watch ours in the bar area on the big screen, so you dont have to wait until you get home.

Hi All

Having Steve and Jill is a must - thanks Stace - we didnt book
with them until we got out in Cyprus and they could do it for us....they
are fantastic... weve watched it over and over since weve been back.
I like Stace dont like having my photo taken - but with Jill you dont even know shes there.... Well worth the money!!!

Hi all, I have to decided to just book jil and steve for my wedding without seeing a sample..they seem to be fine as ihavent read any bad reports. I'll have to get thinking about the songs though.Would you reccommend a hiring them for a half or full day? jo
