Greece First Time...Where to go?

A friend and I are looking to go to greece for a 'girly' holiday. We want somewhere with good night life, nice beach & things to do during the day, but not somewhere too tacky. Would appreciate as much help as poss as we are pretty clueless! thanks in advance.

take a look at the reviews of Laganas on kos, you have the choice of noisy/tacky or quiet/plush all within 20 mins walk of the strip

Another one that might suit you is Stalis on Crete. Plenty to do there and not as 'tacky' as neighbouring Malia.
