Hi Davlyn, not sure if this'll be much help but I stayed at the Tamariscos the last time we went to Cala'n Bosch which was 5 years ago, so not that recent I'm afraid. The best thing about these apartments in my opinion is the location right on the sea front, and from what I remember all rooms have a sea view. There are two swimming pools, both being seperate from each other due to the layout of the apartments, these areas open up onto grass overlooking the sea, very nice. They are situated next to the Cala'n Bosch Hotel, I recall being able to hear a little noise from the hotel but nothing that really bothered us. They're just a couple of minutes walk to the marina too. I haven't been but had a look at the Aldea on the Grupotel website when I was planning this years holiday and they look really nice aswell, they are around the other side of the beach so slightly further from the marina. Both sets of apartments have been refurbished since I went and look pretty good on their website. You didn't mention in your post if you'll be travelling with children as the only thing I'd say against these apartments is the fact they are mainly marketed towards German tourists, this may not be a problem for you but if you've got kids they may find it more difficult to make friends. Hi NicJW, thanks for your reply. I remember 'speaking' to you earlier in the year and yes I am still looking! I have got 2 children 8 and 4 so it is important, especially with the 8 year old, that the meeting of new friends is possible. I have myself read reports about the 'german feel' to both appartments and was hoping that this had changed. It is a shame as, like you said, both look really nice and their location is spot on.

I remember that you had booked the Paradise Club, the prices of which now are terrific! Perhaps worthwhile for me to have another look before booking.

When we went to Tamariscos in 2003 both Thomson and Airtours used them but now I think you can only book direct or through places like Alpha Rooms and Travel Republic so recent reviews are quite scarce, hopefully someone on here will be able to help you with some more up to date info though. Hope you get something sorted soon. When in Aug are you hoping to go? We go on the 16th...can't wait!

Hi, glad you remembered me! We are looking to go around the 6th August for two weeks but we are flexible just looking for the best deal. Paradise Club with Travel Republic - half board - around £3k plus believe it or not! We have always liked self-catering especially with two fussy eaters like I have. I have even been looking at other resorts on the island but we have been to Cala'n Bosch twice and absolutely love it. Something will come up no doubt and we may even be there at the same time - it will be really nice to have it to look foward to - keep your fingers crossed!

Will do. I know what you mean about fussy eaters, my 2 are the same. The restaurants in Cala'n Bosch are great for young children, we found they catered really well for them. I looked at other resorts such as Santo Thomas and Cala Galdana but worried they may not have enough going on there. Will hire a car for a few days this time so we can check out the other resorts to see if anywhere takes our fancy for 2009. Let us know if you get sorted.
