both of the agencies you mention have received good reports on this forum. Personally, I have always used Jolleys and never had the slightest cause for complaint after probably 20 different trips and mini-cruises with them. They are indeed far cheaper than the big T/Os and able to tailor things just for you.

Dont forget to haggle with them over prices, though!

We travelled with Thomsons on a Red Sea cruise last year. I prefer diy so researched the net and chose Memphis Tours. We didn`t pay any deposit and hoped they would turn up on the dockside ! Fortunately they were reliable and arrived on time with a board with my name on it at both ports we docked at. We toured Cairo and Valley of the Kings with them......luxurious minibus and an excellent driver plus a guide. Negotiate price. No hassle on the trips with their guide leading us plus we went to where WE wanted to go......City of The Dead included and no perfume or carpet factory !!
