How long have you been a member of HT? Do you recall what your first post was?
If you go into your profile you will see your total number of posts. If you click just below where it says Search Users posts it will show all your posts. Click on the last page and there you are. It does not always work as from time to time the Admin team delete old posts. Still it is fun to see what you had to say all that time again.

I've just found out that my first post was a query on a hotel I'd booked to stay at in Bulgaria. That was way back in 2004 and I haven't stopped blabbering on since. I'm hoping I remembered to thank everybody who helped me and I know I've definitely tried being of help to others many times over the years.

Well the first one I can find, was on April 19th 2006 -asking about accomodation in Santorini. However I'm sure that Shirley h & I joined on the same day. Mind you with 2627 posts spread over 132 pages to my name, I wouldn't be surprised if a few have been deleted

According to my profile I joined in 2004 whilst researching a Hotel in turkey . I'm fairly certain though I was a member before that and there was some sort of change to the board around that time . Unless of course I was a long time lurker . Don't think so though as I never remember feeling nervous of joining .
I've been here ever since as my holiday obsession has increased and changed over the years. I really should get a life. Most of all I really enjoy helping others where I can here .

I joined in January 2005, unfortunately the post is no longer available to read. I was researching a new hotel that I was thinking of using in Lanzarote. I can't remember who answered but I then read a lot more of the forums and thought this is really interesting. I hadn't planned to do any more posting, I just really wanted an answer to my question but I'm still a member with 1718 posts to my name.

Just read a post I made in May 2005 asking about kalamaki as we were thinking of going there. we still haven't been but strangely enough we've just booked for next year. I don't recall asking about it before

Not as long as some might think. For some reason a glitch in the system meant that some of us became very ancient overnight. Indeed it suggests that HT pre dates the internet.

My son gave me his old laptop in October 2002 and I read the forum every day for ages before joining around August 2003.
The posts are not available now as I think the forum used different software then.but it was on the Florida forum where I hung out in those days.
It took me a long time to get used to the new forum and I must admit I wish it was still as much fun as in "the good old days"

Funny enough mine was September 2004.

Quite impressed with myself : I joined in January 2006 and when I made my first 2 posting in July they were to help others and not asking for help for myself! Seriously though, trawling through my 9 pages reminded me of the great help, advice and ideas I've been given over the past 4 years.

My first post was in May 2006 and apart from when I've been away from home, I think I've been on HT's every day since then sometimes even two or three times a day. I find it quite addictive and love reading everyone's holiday experiences as well as getting great tips for all my holidays. Thank you all
I joined in 2005 I think or maybe 2004...but the oldest post still in my history is from 2006...so I dont know what I originally posted about. At that time, I was most active in the Canary Island forums as that was where we spent all of our holidays.
Looking back at some of people I was communicating with then, most are still here today and I still speak to many of them regularly even now.

My first post shown was in December 2004 about s*** telephone calls but I'm sure I joined earlier that year. It says here it was October year though I'm not sure to what that related. Since then I've spent far too long on here but I've loved every minute of it, made some wonderful friends, received excellent advice and think I've been able to help a few people.
