Same thing has happened to me and it realy hurts doesn't it?
My hubby is going thin on top and he sprays clear sun spray over his head,T.
A hat or a pretty scarf covering are your best bets, though I know it's good to 'air the follicles' occasionally!
My partner sprays calypso dry oil sun screen on his head, it seems to work. Only costs about £3-£4

The best 2 I've used are M&S Scalp protector SPF 25 (half price at the minute ) Or the Boots Soltan Hair & scalp spray SPF 30
Hubby is thinning on top and uses Boots Soltan Hair & scalp spray SPF 30 both on holiday and when he is on the golf course as he finds caps on his head he gets all hot and sweaty
Thanks everyone....
I just wear a cap! I have a collection of caps but the best ones are those that I have managed to wear in over the last 6 or 7 years. If I aquire a new cap that I like I leave it on the dashboard of the car for a year or so, wearing it occassionally, so that the colour fades and it looks 'broken in'.
Seeing as I've got as much hair on top as a snooker ball, I've been using Malibu Dry Oil Hair and Scalp protection. Very effective!
I use it all the time to keep my hair under control. In Australia 2 yrs ago it kept the rain off as well!
