I expect that this has been discussed on other threads but thought I'd ask again! We're travelling to Avignon for a camping holiday and have a ferry booked to Calais for the day before our arrival date. Can anyone give us a reasonable destination for an overnight stop somewhere between Calais and Avignon, leaving us enough time to meander our way to Avignon. ( we'll arrive at Calais at about 1 pm and don't mind a fairly long drive before our overnighter) Also any cheap hotels for that overnight stay?
