we have booked an 8 berth caravan , near Paris for a week, on arrival there will be 4 in our party, 2 days later we will be joined by another 2 members of the family for a couple of days, befor 4 of us move on to Brittany.
Having carefully perused the website of the company, I find they want more money, if number is greater than 4 as originally booked.
Should we tell them and pay up or should we plead ignorance, and hope we get away with it.
If it was me I'd tell them and pay up. Firstly for the practical reason that you could up finding that the they've only provided equipment for 4 and only 4 of the beds have been made up etc. Secondly, if they find out that you've exceeded the occupancy level that you've paid for you'll be in breach of contract and could find that they ask you to leave. Is it worth the risk for extra money it would cost?
Is it really going to cost a lot more to have another 2 people go?
If you've hired an 8 berth caravan you may have already paid under occupancy charges anyway so it may only be a few more quid for peice of mind!
You say that you are a party of Four. You are then being joined by Two. Then Four of you will be moving on. Is that the original Four? If not then you need to inform the company as the booking will have been made in the names of the original Four. This could be a breach of contract.
tell them and pay up or you are liable to find you get kicked off site with a not so nice Gendarme escort and that WILL cost you more
