Hi all
First of all congrats on an excellent forum, our trip to India once we get our visas will be more informed because of the interesting facts on here.
We live part and part U.K. and Spain. At the moment we are in Spain and thought it just a simple matter to get our visa for India from here but found out now that this is not the case.
Apart from the postal system being bad beyond belief and even the courier services not working, I understand that the Embassy in Madrid may take that long our holiday date in February 2013 may have long gone by the time we get our Visa for entry.
So to plan B. As we have a U.K. address and friends here at the moment (going back in the morning before I can phone anyone) I thought it would be simple to do it from here with our relatives bringing back our passports including visa when they come to stay for their Christmas break.
To make it simple I thought (even though it is costly) I would use a visa service such as India Visa 24 who cut out the need for registered envelopes for return of passports which is something that I cannot purchase while here in Spain.
Problem is that they say to print off the form and return it by post with the passports, cheque and photos.
Elsewhere (on this site) it says that we need to sign a declaration form and also that written applications are no longer accepted, only applications online.
I have tried an online application but cannot fill it in as there seems to be a problem with upgrade Adobe 7
Can anyone give me some advice please?
Many thanks in advance
Denise
If you're having trouble with filling in a website form, try again but using a different web browser. There are sometimes bugs with upgrades, but these don't always appear in each browser. May sound strange, but I've used this solution a few times.
Good luck!

Most widely used ones are Google Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.
By default, your PC will have Internet Explorer. If you haven't got any of the others, you can download for free from various websites (just do a search).
If the problem seems to be with the Adobe upgrade, I'd suggest trying Firefox first of all. (I'm experiencing a problem currently with Chrome and the upgrade, which is a known bug Google hasn't fixed yet.)
VFS UK , recommend that you use Internet Explorer( the one with the big blue e) to complete the visa applications. I used Google Chrome, as I always do and had no problems.
If you are having trouble with Adobe , try downloading Foxit Reader, its small and does the same job.
Regards and good luck
