Ok, I'm looking for a campsite thats quite near london (doesnt have to be too close, but in london or a neighbouring district) which has a nice relaxed atmosphere, doesn't have all sorts of unwanted facilities (ie. swimming pool, resauarant, childrens playpark. I'm just looking for some toilets, drinking water and maybe a shower block) and I'd really like to be able to light a wood fire to cook on. I'm finiding it really hard to find a nice simple site like this, and i always find that the best way to learn about campsites is through word of mouth. if anyone could help me out I'd be extremely grateful!

Hi. Relatively new to this site. Recently purchased a touring caravan and am looking for a site to pitch it on for the year including storage etc. Can anyone advise a fairly decent site aimed at families/children complete with outdoor pool, pub/clubhouse etc. in the Dorset or Devon area, not too expensive. I've tried Haven sites but its too much money!!! Thanks.
Ulwell Cottage Caravan Park, Swanage.
Lookout Caravan Park, Stoborough, Nr Wareham
both Dorset.
Lookout do storage, not sure about facilities.
Ulwell have facilities and are open all year.
