In response Luke/Lukey alot of the 'rumours' are coming from those of us that know the island very well and have seen Faliraki at it's peak.
I've lived on the island, worked there (including Faliraki), holiday there frequently and have alot of mates that work or own businesses on Rhodes. Nobody is saying you can't still have a good time in Faliraki but those of us that visit frequently or live on the island have noticed it's quieter than it was - FACT!
i've never been before so i don't really have anything to compare it to, but if people don't think its busy at the moment, i would hate to see it when its really busy. all the bars down bar street were packed at night and there is most definatly lots of people about.
hi, me n a few other girls are going in june, we were also worried about how lively its going to be. but weve heard good and bad. The all you can drink bar sounds good and the so called beach parties!! But if they dont live up to much at least youve got the sun and the world cup, (depending on what dates your there?)
I went in 2001 (which was the year they filmed club reps there) and boy was it busy... and by that i mean every single bar was flooding out into the street.. down bar street was like a carnival atmosphere it was that busy, you couldnt move. We had one of the best holidays ever and im so glad i went at that time.
On the other hand i wouldnt worry about the place not being busy, yes it might not be at its peak anymore but im sure you'll still have a great time. For example i went to Gumbet (Turkey) in 2004 and people on this forum told me that i few years prior it had been mad busy with 18-30's but had gone quieter now. They were of course right (the information on this forum is second to none) but the main bars on the bar street still got busy and we had a great holiday.
dont worry and look forward to it
Faliraki worst season was 2005. Now its geting better because media are writing good things about the place. And it is!!Even the local people from the island are trying to visit the place for swimming and night life.We couldn't cause they were millions of drunk people.at least now there are only a few thousands...
i agree with luke. I am citizen of rhodes and i think
any gal goin faliraki 6 august to the 20th
deleted for use of capitals..see terms of posting.....wizard
i know alot of people now go to maila rather than faleraki it seems to be the in place at the moment as was kavos a few years back, i think it just varys year to year but either way if kavos was anything to go by tou will have a fab time whatever, a holiday is what you make it
Faliraki Is Certainly NOT Dead!
