Hi

You could start by reading through the reviews HERE

Hi,

I can recommend a couple of apartments near the new town end but it would be helpful to know what your budget is per night if poss ? Average accom per room per night is 30-35 Euro and above, that's the figure I'd roughly work to.

The Plaza Azul & La Penita both come highly recommended as do the Cinco Plazas but like I say an idea of your budget per night would help and then maybe I could give you more info.

We can recommend Club Oceano, or Princess Ico apartments.
Have a look at ''Oceanclubholidays.co.uk''

I can recommend Club Oceano or Princesa Ico too. Great apartments.

If you have a limited budget the Princess Ico are ideal. they are small but perfect for a couple and in a great location. Ask for one on the 1st floor, you get the sun on the balcony all day long.

The Costa Luz from the same company are also great and are right on the beach. They also have satellite TV and fully equipped kitchen. A bit more expensive though.

We've stayed at all 3 and can answer any questons you have, just ask.

All the apartments recommended are really good, but of course you know you have picked the most expensive time of the year to come to Lanzarote :( , so prices will be hiked up due to the price of flights at that time of the year. If you could come earlier you would get much better value for money.

MissChief,

Other than some sort of late deal, can you really get acccomodation for 30-35 euros a night in August in PDC ?

That budget is just for the accommodation, or are you thinking the flights will be included in that too?

Ole.

Plenty of accom available in PDC in August for 30-40 Eu per night per apartment. Either via an internet consolidator or direct with the apartments, not late deals as all bookable now as I've just
re-checked. :D

Venza.......did you check the 3 I recommended ? They're minutes away from the main centre of the new town, especially Cinco & Plaza Azul and literally a stones throw from the Centrico where all the bars are.

When you say the new town do you have somewhere in particular in mind ?

MissChief It would be helpful if you could provide web links for wherever you have found those prices. I have lived here for 15 years, and am still unable to find "plenty of apartments" at that price, at that time of year :D

Alpharooms
Expedia
Findrooms

The list goes on & on.................Not to mention direct bookings I've found several in central PDC offering those prices for August. Try googling, it works a treat

Miss Chief,

Just had a quick look at those sites for an example week in Aug and I can find a few starting at just over 40 eu, but nothing cheaper. But then again 40 eu is only £25 so between 2 that's a bargain. :)

And anyway, Venza69 has 50 eu a night budget for 2 so should certainly be able to find something for that.

Cheers - Ole

Ole.....their are at least 4 that are below 40EU there's even one on Alpha for 33EU...........don't know what it's like though but it's a Thomson property so can't be too bad

Not sure the original poster has replied to Sue as to whether that amount they have includes flights or not ?

I think the original poster has asked in another thread for ideas of where to go.

I did google all the sites you suggested, and there certainly was not "plenty of accommodation", just a very few, and most not anywhere near where venza69 wanted to stay.

Sue......I beg to differ their are indeed plenty and the pricing wasn't aimed specifically at the original poster it was an observation given "beggers can't be choosers" if they only have a small budget and it was to show that despite that their are places to stay in PDC at those prices.

To be fair both you and Ole said it couldn't be done but clearly it can 8)

I've been a travel agent for 18 years and believe me their are some great consolidators out there for accom regardless of where in the world it's all about knowing where to look. In fact it's sometimes cheaper to book with an American based site especially as the ex rate is so brilliant at the moment.

I've been to Lanzarote several times and never paid more than 40EU per apartment a night even in the height of summer. And that's staying where I want as oppose to being what's driven by the price, this inlcudes La Penita, Cinco Plazas, Barcarola & Plaza Azul....all very nice establishments in their own right and at a good price.

Miss Chief,

Am I missing something ???

What are you doing to search that Sue and I aren't ?
