Thanks for that lockieman,

I can't seem to see the Osborne on the map or get my bearings as to roughly where it would be, am I being totally blind  (probably!!).

I think the area I'm looking at is off the bottom of the map so the places that are shown are a little further out than we wanted to stay - am I right?

:thanks

There are Dona Tereza (next door to Babutes on top - how's Ganesh by the way) Kamat opposite side of corner to Babutes, Tio Carmen top of holiday street off Holiday street are Shruti something, Goan Heritage as well as some good guesthouses ie Whitehouse and Arabian Retreat
PS Osborne isnt on the map I think Johns maps are all a little outdated now unless he has revisited
Good luck if I think of any others will let you know
cheers

Hi Lyn,

thanks for that, what a mine of information!!! Do you have an apartment that you rent out? I'm sure you contacted me last year when we were considering just booking flights and finding accommodation when we got there. Didn't manage to get to Goa last winter though (for the first time in 3 years!), we moved house and unfortunately didn't have the spare cash. Can't tell you how much we missed it, that's why I wanted to book for next year so that I know that we're definately going - we need our fix!!

Have decided to just book with Jewel in the Crown who, as far as packages go, I think are the only ones who are using the Friday flight. We're a bit scared the flight might get totally booked up so are just gonna bite the bullet and book it. Did look at flight only but that particular flight wasn't coming up much cheaper than the package.

We're also gonna stick with what we know and stay at the Osborne, they do say it's better the devil you know!! Think we might do a bit of research whilst we're out there this time though as far as accommodation goes, be nice to try somewhere different?

For now, 1st February can't come soon enough - I can already taste the tandoori chicken with butter garlic naan washed down with Wildberry Bacardi Breeze (why can't we buy these here?)

Thanks again to Lockieman and Yummymummy also, much appreciated!!

Take care

Lisa

You're not wrong Yummymummy, can't believe how excited I am (well, I can!!) We're due to go on holiday in 3 weeks time and I'm not half as excited about that - there's just no place like Goa, totally unique.

Lockieman, we might see you there then - hubby dying for that first "Kingfisher Pint" :glynis !!

Whey-hey!!!!!!! :hyper
