Hey there
We're planing on travelling to Boston in August and we've been watching the flight prices for some time, they've pretty much stayed the same and now we have enough cash saved to buy them this week.
HOWEVER... the best price I can find is flying with Delta there and back, which I am fine with as I hear they are perfectly fine to fly with. The agency I have seen is Holiday Genie, but the same price is coming up for Opodo, 9Flights, NetFlights and a few others. Thomas Cook are offering me the same flight for £60 more and Delta themselves are giving the price at £110 more!
Expedia are offering us tickets for only £20 more and they also giv eyou Nectar points which is always a plus!
What's the best thing to do here? I'm getting travel insurance through a different company, but what should I ask for there as well? I'm really confused and getting a bit stressed out to be honest lol! We obviously want the best deal we can but I don't want to be ripped off for £1350 at the same time!!!
Thanks so much!
Have you tried looking at prices with Delta direct or with KLM? While flight comparisson website are good, you'll often find the same deals, and sometimes cheaper booking with them direct. Bear in mind even though flights may be showing as Delta, they may be operated by partner airlines via a hub. Be careful you don't book flights that aren't what they first seem. For example, I'm flying back with KLM from New York to Manchester in June, but the flight from JFK to Amsterdam is a codeshare with KLM operated by Delta with an onward connection to MAN with KLM. As long as you're happy with the price and flight ininerary, just go for it. With regards to insurance, as long as it's comprehensive worldwide travel insurance, it'll cover most of what you need. Bear in mind Delta are a US airline and aren't therefore covered under EU regulations.

I went with British Airways, with an American Airlines flight...
