We are booked to go to Hera Village on 04 July. Holiday was booked on basis of excellent reviews posted on Holiday Truths 2005 and pior to. However, shocked and apprehensive to read reports for April/May this year. Complex under new ownership, food appalling, facilities poor. Anyone been there this year and if so comments please. Right now feel like contacting operator and requesting alternative accomodation. 
Last message should have read reviews in "Trip Advisor" not "Holiday Truths" confusion arises as a result of reading these reviews one week after settling final balance on holiday!

we are booked for a fortnight in september and were really looking forward to it as it is a treat for my wifes 50th birthday but 2 weeks on a cement floor,fishfingers ,jelly and watery beer is a major turn off.
what company are you travelling with and are you intending contacting them to check the apartments out? ( i certainly am)
if you do go please add your reviews - maybe they will have improved by july!!!!!

i have just e mailed our tour co (med hotels) regarding our concerns re the fall in standards-suggest everyone else does the same
We are booked with Planet Travel but I think they booked the hotel through Med Hotels. I am going to phone them tomorrow to see if we can get a move somewhere else.
Like you I was looking forward to our break in July but I'm not sure that I want to go there anymore.
Maybe it's just taking the new owners a while to ge on their feet (wishful thinking perhaps!)

just recieved a reply from med hotels saying as we booked thro a travel agent to take it up with them.-ill do this and post response - please do likewise. we also have a friend who lives in agios nikolas who is goingto check out the complex. i notice all the bad reports seem to be from the opening week of the season so perhaps the new owners were caught on the hop??
Spoke to our travel agent and they say that they have not received any adverse reports, then perhaps they have not sent anyone since it re-opened. If we want to change our accommodation we will have to pay an admin fee. I would still like to visit there if for nothing else but the views. Keep me posted of your friend's findings.
6 of us have also booked for July 06. Feeling really anxious now after this years reviews.

I've spoken to my travel agent again today and they neither confirm or deny the problems at Hera Village but they have told me to go onto the Med Hotel site and look for an alternative and they will re-cost for me.
This seems ominous and makes me feel that they have heard the truth about Hera Village and don't want an irate customer on their hands. Going to look at some alternatives now.
I would welcome any further comments.

has anyone got anything good to say about hera village going in 6 weeks and read some different reports about the place i am and was really looking forward to it but not toooooooooo sure now .Can anyone help and say what it really like thanks 
as we are not going until september we are going to wait and see if any more encouraging reports come in the next few weeks- if no improvement i think we will also seek alternative accomodation which is very disappointing as the earlier reviews and the views/pics etc from the complex seemed superb
We booked via teletextholidays.co.uk, but the booking forms all say Med Hotels. 1 good feedback could make all the difference!! Help!!
well im still going to go to hera village i once stayed at the palm court in malta and that hotel was in holidays from hell but i had a really nice holiday.So ill post my comments when i return so watch this space just incase anyone wants to know i emailed the hotel direct and they told me air conditioning cost 6 euro a day to run the unit im going june so lets just seeeee.............
