A number of you have begun to notice me on the site so I thought now was a good time to introduce myself, make some friends and explain what I am doing on Holiday Truths.

As a couple of you have already suggested, I have a journalistic background. In fact, I've worked on the papers for more 12 years now having started on the locals first in Devon and then in London, before moving to the nationals where I wrote hard news for anyone and everyone. In 2004 I started to specialise in travel, writing for an industry business to business newspaper before spending the last 18 months as a freelancer specialising in travel. Holiday Truths' new owner Chris Brown is an old friend and contact from the travel industry, which explains why I am now working with him to give you guys the best holiday review website in the UK.

I am the same Ed who has been doing the blog posts and they're certainly getting some response. I'm very keen to use my industry knowledge to make sure you are well informed about every aspect of your holiday but the blog is also an opportunity for spot of fun so do check it regularly. Similarly if there are any burning issues you want answers to, do leave a reply below.

Otherwise you'll notice me on the forums and helping out with content on the site so I will be around and I look forward to dealing with you all an awful lot more.
