Just a quick update from sunny Sharm, the resort is a lot busier than last year with a lot of Russians making up the most nationality.
Having said that many of the Russians were here for the New Year and have left so it is a little quieter now.
To be honest I have generally found most of the Russians to be a bit more pleasant this year than on previous encounters and they have actually been on the whole quite mannerly.
Well that is apart from the ones in the early hours of New Years morning who decided to party around their various rooms and pool area, they were way over the top and I don't mean the cocktail when I say they were having screaming orgasms

Temperatures have been really good with daytime temperatures up to 29 and nighttime around 20 although on the odd occasion it has felt a bit cooler when there was a slight breeze, however most people are only wearing light clothes in the evening without the need for a jumper or cardigan.
Prices are still around the same as last year and we are getting 10 LE to the £1 from ATM's.
The only problem we have had is with the mozzies which are out in force this year, I don't normally get badly bitten however I already have many bites.
On a personal note we are having a great time, we had a huge New Year party up at the Grand Azure which was fun, I wore one of my kilts which attracted a lot of strange looks.
All the staff here at the Tropicana Jasmine are brilliant as always and they really make your stay and were genuinely warm in their welcome back.
Pretty much a chill out holiday although we are going to St Catherine's Monastery, Nuweiba and Dahab.
As always I love the banter with the Egyptians and would urge visitors to get out of their hotels and go and engage and have a laugh with the locals.
I see the bar man approaching with a water
