I think you'll find that buying a package holiday is just as cheap as booking separate flights and accomodation. You will find Balkan Holidays has the biggest choice by far having being the longest established operator. We prefer going B&B due to restaurants being so cheap and I can recommend the Grand Hotel Oasis for this in SB. Best hotel (HB) has to be the Iberostar Sunny Beach Resort Hotel, close to both beach and resort centre. View the hotel review section for genuine comments from fellow travellers.
Sunny Beach is the biggest resort followed by Golden Sands both have excellent beaches and water sports. ( SB is a bit more livelier with plenty of clubs etc )
Just fire away with any specifics you are after.

my wife and i are in our late 30's we have a daughter of 15 and a son of 13
hotel/appartment we are not overly bothered on what its like as we see it as a place just to sleep as we spend all day either on the beach, looking around the area or doing trips we just go out to do what we want to do and then go back late to crash
i have been on that website to price up a holiday for august and it was nearlly £2000 the ironic thing is we have only just got back from teneriffe and it cost £600 for the 4 of us for a week which was really cheap cheers vince

We got a good price, more than £200 cheaper then booking a package with First Choice to the same hotel (we got their flights though).
in August)
I've just done a quick availability check - a 2 bed s/c apartment in Nessebar for 2 weeks in August, from Gatwick, comes out at £1489.99
Hi Veade. if you visit the the Balkan website, and choose to view any hotel, there is a link near the bottom (under "check availablity") which says "check children age details". If you click on that, it brings up a list of hotels & apartments offering child prices up to age 16. that migght help keep the costs down with your 2 teenagers. (we got a free place for our 13 y.o. I've just done a quick availability check - a 2 bed s/c apartment in Nessebar for 2 weeks in August, from Gatwick, comes out at £1489.99
Hi Veade. I booked my holiday this year with Direct Holidays in August from Glasgow to Sunny Beach for 2 weeks HB in the Iberostar Sunny Beach Resort Hotel for 4 adults and 1 child and paid £2673 compared to First Choice which was £3335 and Balkan Holidays which were £3372 so i would say it pays to shop around. Chec online to see if Direct Holidays fly from your airport as they only operate to Bulgaria from a limited amount of airports. Hope this helps !
everyone has decided that they want to go to turkey now so bulgaria is out for this year thanks for the help that people have given
A warm welcome.
