Hi all, hope you alll had a great Christmas!
We are thinking of going to Hisoranu this coming June, but after reading one or two resort reports, I'm not sure wether to go or not.
We last went to Hisoranu in 2000, which we enjoyed very much. But some people are saying that a big supermarket is being built right in the middle of the resort, and there are lots of 'cheap beer' and British pubs, and also groups of youngsters causing mayhem i.e. fighting, drunkeness, etc...
Is this the case, or are the comments over the top?
Also, how much has the resort changed since 2000 and has it changed for the better, or worse?
Thanks in advance.
yes there is a supermarket called azda but this is a plus point and its not what you would call a supermarket its more like a spar or budgens but is very handy and is near the post office,
beer is the same prices as most other resorts 3.5 ytl i havent seen any trouble but i wouldn't say there isnt but the jandarma will not stand for this and do make arrest's
where the old ata hotel was along side the post office has been demolished and a small complex of apartments and shops is being built ,this will be an inprovement to the run down premises
there have been alot of changes since 2000 but then where hasn't there been
there are alot of restaurant and bars but how many will reopen in 2007 i dont know as 2006 was a very bad season but all the nice stuff is still there hope this is of some help
please contact me if you do need more information
john
Thanks for the info John.
nowhere in turkey is like faliraki........... allah be praised
no not like that at all but it is a vast country with plenty to see and do
The good thing about the area, is you choose what you want, Hisaronu is fairly British and can get lively (although I have never seen any trouble), but I stay just out of Hisaronu, and more often will go to Oludeniz, which has all the restaurants and entertainment you could wish for, and a laid back atmosphere
Still unsure as to wether or not to go to Hisoranu or maybe Oludeniz.
So would you all say that Hisoranu is full of youngsters, or is it still a mixture of young and old?
I'll be 50 next month, so my days of clubbing are long gone!
Who gives a damn about trouble, look at all the trouble we have in the uk, if you experiance trouble in another country/resort just find other parts to eat or relax in simple, unless you are going there to get tanked up and fancy a barney at the end of the night then go ahead it wont spoil my fun,at the end of the day its a foreign country just enjoy the slow laid back aproach,i myself have been to turkey 4 or 5 times now and have never come accross any trouble what so ever.im looking forward to hisaronu for the first time in august 2006.
what difference does it make how old you are im 50 in may and love it to pieces you are as old as you feel there is a large mixed age range in hisaronu and olu, if you feel that old maybe sakilkent would be ideal nice and quite and relaxing
