I'll start the ball rolling for you.

From personal experience Cala Llonga is a nice quite resort.
3 or 4 largish Hotels, but not intrusive. I believe there are quite a few apartments etc.
Nice beach and handy for Santa Eulalia by bus, ferry or taxi

Puerto San Miguel is also pretty quiet. Again good beach, a couple of Hotels and apartments, but is a bit more remote from any "Centre" of activity. Although buses run to the resort, I would think your own transport would be advisable.

Hope this is of some help and gets you started.

I think Puerto San Miguel is great. It's nice and relaxing in the day and at night isn't too loud but it isn't dead. Although there are not many bars and restaurants, it cost me and my husband and our kids jst 2 euros to get into san miguel which has more choice.
If you prefer self caterig then theres the balansat arpartments, but if you fancy a change to all inclusive san miguel beach club is great!

Calla Llonga is nice and quiet and has a lovely beach but personally I wouldn't stay at a lot of the hotels there as they are AI and look very cramped round the pools ect. That said the hotel Calla Llonga is a very nice hotel.

I personally would reccomend the resort of Santa Eulalia. It has some lovely hotels and fantastic resturaunts and an air of quality about it - no noisy bars full of lager louts.

Thank you all so much much for your time in responding to my q's

I like the sound of all the resorts they all appear to be just what we are looking for.

We had a look at First Choice travel shop this weekend but the costs seemed quite expensive to us. I suppose because the quotes were from Cardiff Airport, and of course the high season in Aug.

Ill have to try and shop around, maybe try getting a quote from Bristol, any pointers from anyone would be greatly appreciated

Kind regards,

Can I put a word in for Es Cana. family resort but not loud.

If you really want it quiet then Cala Sant Vincente, small bay 2 hotels and that's your lot!

Cala Llonga is my favourite - been there about 4 times and probably going there again next year

Portinatx is also very nice, been there for the last two years, quite small though - not an awful lot to do.

Both have very nice beaches (apart from the fag ends), you can walk out at least 50 yards into the sea and the water won't be around your shoulders.

Lots of (fairly big) fish in Portinatx, literally thousands, you can hold a bread roll in the water and within a few minutes it will be gone!

Hi,

It's a good job we don't all have the same tastes

I'm back home about 4 weeks from a week in Cala Llonga, my 1st holiday in Ibiza. Out of all my holidays in the Med, and there's been quite a few, it was the most boring, ie worst, I've ever been on. I'm not a disco animal but unless you're an utter sun freak or an alcoholic that "village" is hell and it's not that good for the alchos because booze by Ibiza standards is quite expensive there :( . We went with our daughter and grand daughter and I don't know how our daughter stuck it out. My wife and I spent most nights in St Elulia, where there was something to do, but she spent most/all of her nights nursing WKDs watching her 4 year old child spending money in the fair ground.

OK so Cala Llonga is ideal for children as long as they like fairgrounds and shallow water at the seashore. 1 Question. Do you all go on holidays just for your children's pleasure or do you ever feel let's do something we, the parents, want to do, not every year but occasionally? I'm sure their grandparents could be bribed into looking after them for a week. If the option I had was Cala Llonga or a hefty bribe I'd make an appointment with my bank manager asap.
Sorry but Cala Longa just wasn't my cup of tea.

I have to agree with Wayne Zab Santa Eulalia`s my favorite, upmarket resort without being expensive.

Have you tried getting some prices on line I`m sure some of the direct book companies will give you some better prices than the agents.

Put your requirements up and I`m sure you`ll get some prices posted on here to look at.

out of the above,i would recommend the tres torres,my dad stayed there in june for a week and its very stylish, but not snobby.the staff are very freindly.its classed as 4 star and i would say it deserves it.it is well situated opposite the marina.the buffet was very good, king prawns etc.i would say that it attracts mostly adults and a few families,no kids entertainment.we were staying at a different hotel, but spent time at the tress torres, would :D reccomend.mo

The Ses Estaques Hotel might be worth looking at,its 4* and does not allow children under 16 years of age.Its in a quiet spot at the end of the marina and is only ten minutes walk into town.(Santa Eulalia) John.

:) do any of the cheapo airlines operate to ibiza from bristol or cardif?because if you got a cheap flight, you could stay at the sol ibiza or sol sargamassa(very quiet area a couple of kilometers from santa eulalia)for£717 for both of you half board booking direct on the sol website and the best bit is that you dont have to pay untill you get there, were doing that in june next year for a 4 night break without the kids, but we are hany for leeds bradford airport and jet 2 airline mo

I'll second that :D

If anybody ever tells you Cala Llonga is the dead centre of Ibiza believe you me they're right and geography is not involved.
