I've been back under 3 weeks, and already it feels like I've never been away!

I'm tempted to book for next year already, mainly as I've seen 2 weeks in Zante for £300 but I don't think my boyfriend is too keen... probably because we booked a couple of months in advance this time and I didn't shut up about it for the whole time, and I think he's worried how he'll cope with a whole 10 months of it!!

I would be booking it at that price! :rofl

I asked where his credit card was but he wouldn't tell me!

I've just returned from seahouses and am always worse with the holiday blues than returning from abroad. I wish I could afford to buy and site a caravan up there. Hopefully, in two years time, hubby may let me buy one with his retirement money. :rofl :rofl

I love it up Seahouses...and I have the holiday blues..mainly as it is May since we had a proper one and we will not be away again until December when we go to Egypt...so I have the blues as I am jealous of everyone else away at the minute while I am stuck working my butt off to pay for next one! :rofl

Know the feeling Val. There was a caravan across from my friends goin g foe 11g but I didn't like the pitch and that was where you had to have it as ground rent and siting was in with the price. Would also of meant doing without holidays abroad for a few years and Tom loves going abroad. Roll on Mick's retirement. ;)

I felt exactly the sam when I cam from Jamaica in May, to the point I almost booked another holiday first day back to work - but I managed to hold out until the weekend (5 days later :rofl) then I booked the cruise that I am going on next week :sun2

Only came back yesterday and have got the blues already - just looking at the mountain of washing & ironing does that to me. We have got 2 days with the grandchildren booked for Cardiff the week after next and 3 days in ondon for October half term to come. I'm looking about for a week at Easter but so far coming up with nothing.

hi all..... :( me too.......usually I come back and its as if I hadnt completely come home....I usualy have such nice memories to focus on that it softens the reality of my hols being over for another year.....this year its not working as there were a few issues ... though they didnt actually spoil my holiday they affected how I felt whilst on it...they took only an hour or so up of my hols but they took the shine of it and tarnished my memories....it was the first time I didnt actually mind coming home...

Add to that Id decided I wasnt going away next year as needed the cash to do work on house and garden.....no wonder I had the blues

Then a friend asked could they come on holiday with us next year....and I said OK if I found something I could afford....and I had us sorted and booked pronto for 12 months from now somewhere I cant wait to go back to.....I lasted 2 weeks from coming home and now " I am saved ". :D ......now Im dreaming of next years hols....and checking for new info on HT about Calella de Palafrugel....tweetie

ps....if your wondering why I wasnt buzzing on my hols this year you can read my review on the Lago Taurito , gran caneria

Tweetie after reading the whole report, I certainly think that those "isolated incidents" would certainly have bothered me. I wouldn't be looking to book that hotel any time soon.

hi Helen.....its a lovely hotel....and couldnt find better staff ....and the director I spoke to was a lovely man ....and it makes me angry to think how one man who has issues and a careless kitchen worker can spoil all the efforts of many others....and so I have included what took place in my review along with my honest views about the rest of the hotel ect......As the incident with the bar manager was put in the hands of the director and he did follow it up, I dont think it would happen to anyone again......and I dont know who I spoke to about the glass (but he did have a shirt and tie on ) but he will have understood how bad things could have been and hopefully better routines put in place to make sure cant happen again......no one was hurt and I am not one to make threats to sue to get extras....peoples jobs rely on the hotel .... husband had already refused an offer to stay for free...and so was annoyed when they sent a waiter to say it was sea salt.... they should have brought the object back with them if that was true....but they didnt and it wasnt brought back even when asked for.....husband was adamant it was a peice of glass from the base of a wine glass ....it had a curved side....so I still believe it was glass......all I was interested i was the pasta had been taken off incase there was anymore in it.....and someone knew things werent right somewhere...thats why I also told the man in the shirt and tie about the bit of wire that looked like it had come from a scouring pad .....

The reason I wont go back is the bar manager incident ....never felt comfortable afterwards going there in the evening...and the thought the rest of the staff would be thinking of me as the moaning trouble causing english woman..........then having to sort out the glass bussiness...singled me out for staff to be weary off....not a nice feeling......and if I went back thats how I would feel from day one now.....and evenings wouldnt be comfotable either if the same bar manager was still there....so am sad now as it was a place I loved and would have been good place for getting everyone together on my special occassions as its AI....I dont really like parties ...I prefer to take my closest family on a holiday instead.....it cost no more if you get a good deal....especially if your from a big family....tweetie

Glad it's not just me then. Back from France last Monday. I've so got the holiday blues :( Looking now for next May,- which is exactly what i did when i came back from holidays last August. Ended up booking for Egypt, three weeks after we came back last year. :)

I've been back since Monday but glad to say the blues haven't kicked in yet. Mainly due to the fact that I'm researching next year's summer's holiday :D I've also got Easter on the Costa Del Sol sorted. I think the blues will kick in once I'm back in work (school) in about 11 days :(

hi all.....I usually get stuck into all the washing the day after I get back....while Im still buzzing from the holiday....I usually have a case of unused clean stuff....and 3 full of washing....so sort the lot out into piles of the same colour and wash type....and just work my way through it....loads on the line and the tumble going billyo....as most of it is holiday stuff its folded and put back in the cases ans stashed away for the next year in my spare room.....

Most of the stuff we had this year seems to need to dry naturally on a line ect and not in the tumble....and sods law it rained all the first week we came back....and has not been that good this week gone either ....so have just pulled out the teenagers stuff and managed to get that all done and dried....saves getting ear ache....but its been on maidens everywhere as mostly tee-shirts that cant be tumbled... today its looking good but Im working all weekend on night shift and Im too tired to get stuck into it........I sat staring at those 3 cases in my livingroom this morning when I got home :( ...and started to feel really depressed ...then I suddenly felt better as I remembered Id already booked my hols for next year :D ....a week ago now........then I just started laughing....hubby said " what you laughing at "....I said " just realised my hols was booked for next year a week before Id started the washing from this year " :rofl :rofl ......tweetie

ps.....my lines will be full from tommorrow weather permitting....
