Hey , i want to get your thoughts on the current situation me and 7 of my friends are currently in.
We had arranged a holiday to KOS for 10 days from the 2nd July to the 12july . We had our tickets for this printed the week before and we packed for our holiday. We got to the airport on the 2nd only to be told that there was no flight on that day to KOS. infact it turns out our whole holiday had been changed from 10 days to 7 days and all 8 of us were completely oblivious as no one had been told and our tickets still confirmed that out original booking was still correct. Bemused by this we were told to go to the desk of the holiday operator ( am i allowed to name this??? ) and were told to wait in the terminal. We were dealt with by a woman reprsenting the company who offered us two options
1. Get a coach to London and then fly to KOS the next day
2. Fly to Bodrum and then get a ferry to KOS
The woman was originally very helpful however she became increasing un professional towards us and we bagn to ring our parents who became worried so they rang the operator store in which we had orignally booked to complain and this got back to the women who was currently dealing with us and she became increasingly irritated. We also had no sterling money as we were meant to have been flying to KOS and we were refused any food vouchers by the operator until we rang head office begging.
Anyway we decided to do option 2 and we were told that we would be met in Bodrum by a taxi and then driven to out hotel. It became apparent on the plane that this was not the case. We bagen to talk to the flight attendant staff about what had happened to us and they put it upon themselves to help us out. They used their online phone to ring their colleagues in Bodrum to assess our situation. It became apparent their was going to be no taxi waiting for us therefore they brought it upon there selves to sort us out, this isn't even their job !! . When we left they also gave us some spare food as another lie we had been told was that we would have inflight food and we didn't get this.
We arrived in Bodrum , stayed in out hotel and we were picked up at 7 am ( i think ) to catch a ferry to bodrum. However, once again when we got off the ferry we were not greeted by the taxi we were promised and had to pay our own taxis getting to our hotel. We also had to pay 10 euro to get into Bodrum !!
There is more to this story if anyone wants to hear it i'll just skip to the end. We have been pursuing this since July it is now January. After many calls and letters and failed communication between this fligth operator and us they gave us an offer off £330 vouchers of their operator between 8 of us. We are disgraced by this . This amount is meant to cover ;
1. The diffrence in flight prices between Bodrum and Kos
2.The taxi fares we had to pay ( we gave them our receipts for this and they lost one !! )
3. The entrance fee to bodrum
4. compensation
5. food we payed for on the plane
Please , please , please give me your views and what you think the plan of action should be next !
As you have been offered compensation then they are admitting some, liability. I'd give Simpson Millar Solicitors a call on 0808 145 1358 or visit their site for all their details:

something like that happened to us, but we got money back of Thomas cook, as they new what they did was wrong, plus we had a brilliant rep who also got involved.

you will have to go via Thomas cook id go in to the travel shop and take your documents with you , tell them the story and say you want to make a complaint, , in our case the rep was on our side so made it easier, I don't know what other way to help maybe someone on here would be better giving you some advise. hope you get it sorted
You can only carry on trying to settle it direct, or take them to the small claims court. Absolutely no point going into a Thomas Cook store because the complaints process is underway and you already have a file open. They couldn't have done anything anyway, other than pass your correspondence on. It only slows the process down even more.
