Hi. Can anyone help me to get justice?
I booked a family holiday to Zante, for six in October. I tried to book on line but it wasnt having any, This was with Going Places/Airtours Direct.
I then called the contact centre who said dont worry, and took details deposit etc, for which I recieved a reciept. Then I recieved reminder for full payment, which I sent and recieved a recipt and confirmation. On April 16, I phoned to confirm all ok, was told flight time had changes slightly and tickets would arrive 7-10 days prior to departure. I was travelling May 10th, as they hadnt arrived 3rd May, I called them. I knew there was a problem when they said they needed to call me back???. The result was, they had cancelled the holiday months ago in error through a computer mix up. They offered an alternative.. Lanzarote? or a refund and £40 per person compensation. I dont think this is acceptable. I have managed to track down another holiday in Rhodes, £200 nore expesive, not same quality etc, we have to travel futher to the airport and flights are not good. I am taking elderly mother and two children along with daughter and partner. I dont think this is god enough. Our holiday was our dream for the last 6 months and I want to go where I booked...
