I was in block 13 (swim up room) overlooking the quiet pool. It was a 3 min walk to the main pool and beach. Weather was fab most days and no coats or cardis needed for the evening, it was very warm. Plenty of sun beds at the quiet pool even at 9am. Block 10 overlooks the quiet pool. Ahmed at pool bar at the quiet pool brought drinks to my swim up room without me asking, what a lovely man and to be honest, everyone was extremely friendly. Any questions, please ask although my daughter didnt go to the kids clubs so i have no idea if they are any good.

Hi mistyrae, glad you enjoyed your holiday. We were wondering how you found the drinks on offer? We've read the beer is ok but read different remarks about the quality of the wine and spirits. How did you find the drinks both alchoholic and non alchoholic? Thanks
Cant comment on the beer as i didnt drink it but my mates fella didnt complain. The white wine was the best ive had abroad (i drink spritzers with lemonade). The bacardi was as good as the real thing....they serve gin, vodka, pernod all substitutes but they all tasted fine in the cocktails made by the waiters . Pepsi, lemonade, fanta, kids cocktails if you ask for them were all great and pepsi was pepsi and sprite was sprite. Tea and coffee was nice too. Hope this helps. Any other questions, let me know.

Thanks for reply, I'm sure we'll find something to enjoy! Did you notice if they have a Baileys equivalent? If not will probably take a bottle ourselves to enjoy last thing at night
They didnt have baileys equivalent but they had baileys at an additional cost....not sure how much tho, u can get ice from the bar so u can enjoy your own baileys. When are you going and are you aware that you can email ahead to request a certain block to stay.
so where are the select rooms & should i email the hotel about getting a sea view if poss!!!! help please
Can anyone suggest a good position for a standard room. We went last year and booked a standard room we were given a room in block 5 which was great.
I have just emailed Ramy to ask for the same room and it turned out that that is a select room so I suppose we got a bonus last year!
We had standard rooms, which we liked but they may not suit everyone. The reason for this is that they were in one of the few three storey blocks so don't look as attractive from the outside as the two storey ones, but the rooms inside are identical, so am not sure if the outside look matters.
We were in 14225 and 14226, block 14 on the first floor. The good thing about these is they are on the end of the block looking out to sea, so we got a free sea view x 2. I did email Ramy and ask for nice rooms that were quite. I asked for specific blocks as recommeded on here but didn't get them as every thing I asked for wasn't a standard room so was allocated 225 and 226.
The only possible downside I suppose is you have a room below you and one above, so two sources of noise if you get unlucky, plus you can hear the Laguna Vistas disco, but you can hear that all over and it doesn't go on too late.
Block 14 is great for the buffet restaurant, main building and the 'quiet' pool as all are only about 2 or 3 mins away, but you are not near the main pool and beach.
Wonder if Debdon is back yet ? Hope she had a nice time.

Can anyone suggest a good block for the swim up rooms, and does anyone know how far away from the restaurant and bars they are please.
I have emailed Ramy and just asked for 2 nice rooms together. He is very good and emailed back very quickly.
Can anyone help with the quad biking? There will be me,hubby, mum and 2 kids aged 9 & 10. Can they just hold 2 people at most? How much is it and how long is it for? Also who is the best people to book for this?
Thanks
Caz
I stayed in block 13 (13105) last week which is the sunniest block for the swim up rooms. It overlooks the quiet pool and is 2 mins from the main building where there is a bar and restaurant. Hope this helps.

any advice on how much money to take? ive got 700 egyptian pounds already but i was wondering if i needed more for excursions ect.
thanks in advance
Can anyone tell me which block is next to the themed resturants?
Also, I have a couple of tips for anyone staying here for the fist time. Firstly, keep an eye on your mini bar. We did not touch the bar last year but got charged for things. Secondly, do not use the phone in your room. We used the phone a few quick times and ended up with a bill of nearly £60!

I wouldn't bother taking much LE with you just take a credit and/or bank card. If you come out of the HV turn right walk past the Laguna Vista Resort there are loads of banks. You can either go in there and change sterling into LE, or the banks have ATM's outside which you can withdraw LE from easily.
Also if you book your trips through First choice you can stick them on a card which means you dont have to have a lot of money hanging about the place in the first instance.
There are safes in the HV though if you are taking a lot of cash of either denomination with you. You set your own number into them so I imagine they are pretty secure.

Were going to the holiday village in sept and it will be our first time to egypt.
I'm trying to figure out how much spending money we need to take with us so i would like and idea of how much things cost that are not part of the all inclusive, i know that the "zip wires" are extra but does anyone know how much they cost? i know my son and daughter would love them and also the football lessons can we book it there or are we better off booking before we go?
Any help would be appreciated.
